General Hospital RECAP Wednesday, August 1: Nelle Pressures Brad To Keep QuietGeneral Hospital (GH) recap for Wednesday, August 1, 2018 reveals, Carly (Laura Wright) keeps imagining Michael (Chad Duell) in the car. Jason (Steve Burton) tells Carly they need to think about leaving. Carly wants to stay longer instead of going to Canada.

Jocelyn Apologizes To Carly

Jason needs to take care of something. Sonny (Maurice Benard) tells Carly all he could think about was Morgan’s (Bryan Craig) death. Carly wants to know if the baby is ok. Carly wants to know how much Nelle (Chloe Lanier) admitted to. Sonny tells Carly she didn’t admit to lying about Carly pushing her. Sonny and Carly talk about Ferncliff and Canada. Jocelyn (Eden McCoy) shows up at the safe house to see Carly. Jocelyn runs in and hugs Carly, Jason and Sonny leave them to talk.

Jason and Sonny tell Jocelyn to listen to Carly. Jocelyn asks if Jason broke Carly out, she says yeah. Jocelyn wants to know what is wrong with Michael. Carly tells Jocelyn everything that Nelle admitted to. Jocelyn blames herself for believing Nelle at all. Jocelyn feels guilty for not believing Carly. Carly tells Jocelyn no one is to blame but Nelle. Carly is proud of Jocelyn and this is not her fault. Jocelyn can’t believe Nelle is the mother of Michael’s baby. Carly and Jocelyn make plans for the baby. Carly tells Jocelyn she’s going to have to call Max (Derk Chetwood) to come to get her. Jocelyn wants to spend the night with Carly.

Liz Tells Sam The Baby Is Here

General Hospital’s Sam (Kelly Monaco) shows up to see Peter (Wes Ramsey). Liz (Rebecca Herbst) wonders why Sam isn’t at Lucas’ (Ryan Carnes) with the baby. Sam heads to Lucas’ house. Brad tells Lucas the baby was crying a lot, he took him for a drive. Lucas says he may never put the baby down. Lucas says they have to hope the birth mother doesn’t change her mind. Brad comes back home, he and Lucas look at the baby.

Sam Meets Her Nephew

General Hospital’s Lucas and Brad (Parry Shen) are holding the baby. Brad says they have a son. Sam gets to Lucas’ and holds the baby. Sam wants to know why they decided on Wiley. Brad goes out to get food for Lucas. Sam tells Lucas he needs to trust his happiness. Lucas tells Sam about a rough patch he and Brad had last year. Sam tells Lucas she’s going to teach Wiley to ride his first Harley. Jason calls Sam, he needs a favor. Sam meets Jason on the pier, he tells her he has to leave the country. Jason tells Sam that he will turn himself in first. Sam says she will go to Ferncliff and try and get evidence.

Nelle Pressures Brad To Keep Quiet

General Hospital’s Nelle claims to not remember the accident. Michael questions how the baby died. Nelle says she gave birth alone in the dark and realized the baby wasn’t crying. Nelle tells Michael the crash killed the baby. Nelle tries to blame Michael, he tells her the baby is dead because of her. Nelle wants to know how Michael can blame her, he was driving. Liz tells Michael and Nelle they are in shock. Liz sends Nelle to a room and offers to take Michael to a cubical to have time to say goodbye to the baby. Michael refuses to turn loose of the baby, Brad watches. Brad goes to see Nelle.

Nelle isn’t going to let Michael win and keep the baby. Brad doesn’t think he can keep this up. Nelle plays on Brad’s love for Lucas. Ava (Maura West) arrives and watches Nelle and Brad through the door. Nelle sends Brad home to his family. Ava asks how Nelle is feeling. Nelle wants to know why Ava is there. Nelle tells Ava she won’t turn her in because she would have to admit that Carly didn’t push her. Nelle tells Ava she won’t give them that satisfaction and tells her to leave. Nelle wishes the baby goodnight even though Michael and his family will never know it’s right under their noses.

Chase Blames Himself

General Hospital’s Chase (Josh Swickard) and Lulu (Emme Rylan) meet at the Floating Rib. Lulu wants Chase to come to dinner. Chase tells Lulu about the accident. Chase tells Lulu that Nelle admitted to killing Zack and gaslighting Carly as well as trying to kill Michael. Chase tells Lulu and Ava that the baby didn’t survive. Chase believes the baby’s death is his fault. Lulu tells Chase no one wanted it to end this way. Nelle wanted to murder Michael, she had to be stopped. Lulu volunteers to drive Chase home.

Ava Learns About The Accident

General Hospital’s Ava, Griffin (Matt Cohen), and Kiki (Hayley Erin) are having drinks. Griffin questions why Kiki isn’t drinking much, she doesn’t want Ava to find out about the baby. Ava leaves Kiki and Griffin to go check on Nelle. Kiki says there is something weird with Ava and Nelle’s relationship.

Griffin wants to believe that Ava is hiding something from him because of their secret. Kiki wants to leave, Griffin stops her. Griffin thinks it would break Ava’s heart. Kiki tells Griffin that her mother would take them both down. Ava is upset and claims it’s over Nelle. Kiki leaves to call Michael.

Sonny Comforts Michael

Sonny arrives at the hospital. Liz tells Sonny Michael is ok but not the baby. Michael is in the chapel asking why. Sonny joins Michael in the chapel. Michael tells Sonny he’s not ready to let them take the baby. Michael tells Sonny he could have given his life for the baby.

Michael blames himself for the baby’s death. Sonny tells Michael that isn’t true. Sonny tells Michael the baby wasn’t meant to be. Sonny explains there could have been complications they didn’t know about. Michael gives Liz the baby and cries in Sonny’s arms.
