General Hospital Recap Thursday, July 19: Franco Identifies Liesl As His Attacker
General Hospital (GH) recap for
Thursday, July 19, 2018, reveals, Sonny (Maurice Benard) is on the phone with Diane (Carolyn Hennesy), he doesn’t care whatever it takes, he wants to get in to see Carly (Laura Wright).

Mike Is Deteriorating Quickly

Mike (Max Gail) sees the picture of himself and Charlie and asks if Sonny is in trouble. Felix (Marc Samuel) wants to take Mike outside but he won’t leave his game. Mike goes off on Felix, he doesn’t know him. Mike doesn’t recognize Felix or Sonny. Mike wants Sonny to stay away from Charlie Delany’s place. Mike is totally distraught and takes the phone away from Sonny. Felix tries to explain that Mike that Sonny hired them to keep him safe. Sonny tells Mike his name is Michael and his son asked him to stay there. Sonny asks Mike to let him honor him by taking care of him.

Felix helps Sonny to get Mike settled down. Felix asks Sonny how he is holding up with everything that is going on. Felix knows Sonny isn’t one to talk about things but he’s there if he wants to talk. Felix tells Sonny that his loved ones don’t know what Sonny goes through day to day. Sonny tells Felix he isn’t ready to consider putting Mike in a home. Felix tells Sonny he could still see Mike every day if he wants. Sonny promises to think about a home for Mike. Sonny goes to check on Carly. Mike comes downstairs and asks Felix where Sonny is. Mike tells Felix Sonny is in trouble, he knows this. Sonny goes to see Carly, Rupert refuses to help him.

Liz Is Worried About Franco

General Hospital’s Liz (Rebecca Herbst) calls Franco (Roger Howarth) again, she’s getting worried. Griffin (Matt Cohen) asks if Liz is ok, she tells him she’s worried about Franco. Liz wants to know why Bensch (James DePaiva) hasn’t been suspended. Liz asks Griffin how Kiki is, he tells her people to keep blaming Kiki. Sam demands to know why Franco was on the docks. Franco yells for Liz and asks her what happened. Liz wants to know if Franco remembers who attacked him. Franco tells Sam (Kelly Monaco), Curtis (Donnell Turner), Griffin, and Liz that Liesl (Kathleen Gati) hit him.

Valentin Is Arrested For Assault

General Hospital’s Valentin (James Patrick Stuart) is on the launch dock when Franco wakes up. Franco falls at Valentin’s feed. Chase (Josh Swickard) shows up and thinks Valentin is the one who attacked him. Valentin tells Chase he saw the broken bottle and thought it might have been used to hit Franco. Liz goes running to Franco’s room at the hospital, Chase needs to know who hit him. Chase believes Valentin who wants out of custody. Chase tells Valentin he has to get to Windemere. Valentin demands his lawyer, he has things he needs to do.

Sam And Curtis Question Maxie

General Hospital’s Sam and Curtis run into Maxie (Kirsten Storms) at GH. Sam tells Maxie that she’s been crossed off the list of people wanting to hurt Peter (Wes Ramsey). Sam wants to know when was the last time Maxie saw Liesl. Sam and Curtis tell Maxie about the cabin in the woods. Maxie questions if Sam thinks Liesl has killed Peter. Sam tells Maxie they don’t have any proof that Peter is dead. Maxie tells Sam that Liesl really hasn’t been around the baby.

Curtis asks about Nina and Sam tells Maxie both have means and opportunity. Curtis tells Maxie he doesn’t want to believe this either. Sam tells Maxie that Nina could lead them to Liesl. Maxie tells Sam that Nina’s assistant said she has been off. Curtis tells Maxie it’s strange that Spoon Island is quarantined at the same time. Maxie tells Sam that Nina asked how she would feel if Peter died and tells them what she told her. Curtis gets a message that Franco has been attacked. Maxie asks a nurse about West Niles, there hasn’t been a case in 10 years.

Liesl Set The Stables On Fire

General Hospital’s Liesl comes in as Nina (Michelle Stafford) is trying to help Peter. Liesl tells Peter he has come to the end of the road. Nina tells Liesl it’s over, Liesl tells Nina she has broken her heart and no has left her no choice. Nina tells Liesl she doesn’t have the stomach for this. Nina tells Liesl that Nathan (Ryan Paevey) would be ashamed of both of them. Nina tells Liesl she can turn herself in or run. Peter tells Liesl that they are like, neither was good enough.

Nina tells Liesl that Anna (Finola Hughes) is crazier than all three of them. Liesl tells Nina she now owes her nothing and can finish this her way. Liesl tells Nina that Peter got her brother killed after she tried to protect him from Faison (Anders Hove). Liesl never wanted Nathan to be like Faison and now he is dead and Anna’s son is still breathing. Liesl tells Nina she must finish this her way, with or without her. Nina tries to reason with Liesl and tells her this revenge is crazy and won’t bring Nathan back.

Nina begs Liesl to let Peter go. Liesl tells Nina she was supposed to be on her side. Nina tells Liesl she only came this far because Nathan wouldn’t want his mother grieving alone. Liesl says she has done things for other people, now its time to do something for Liesl. Liesl needs to finish that chapter and starts to light the bottle of alcohol. Nina tries to stop Liesl but she throws the lit bottle of liquor and the stables begin to burn.

Mary Pat Drugs Carly Again

General Hospital’s Carly is walking the floor, Mary Pat (Patricia Bethune) and Rupert comes in with a sedative. Kevin has gone to visit Laura and Dr. Lazarus is handling her case. Carly refuses treatment, Mary Pat says it’s not up to her. Carly tries to get Rupert to see what Sonny will do. Carly tells Mary Pat she has people who will avenge her, she’s not like the other patients.

Rupert tells Mary Pat that maybe Carly is right. Rupert holds Carly and lets Mary Pat give her the sedative. Carly warns Mary Pat and Rupert that Sonny will burn their lives down around them. Mary Pat is taunting Carly and tells her she found her phone.
