General Hospital RECAP Thursday, August 2: Jocelyn Catches Nelle As She Tries To Escape

General Hospital (GH) recap for Thursday, August 2, 2018 reveals, Carly (Laura Wright) thanks Jason (Steve Burton) for bringing Jocelyn (Eden McCoy) to her. Jason tells Carly that Nelle (Chloe Lanier) is at the hospital.

Sonny Tells The Family About The Baby

Carly asks about Michael (Chad Duell), Jason says Sonny (Maurice Benard) will fill them in. Jason promises that Carly will never go back to Ferncliff. Carly says her favorite part was laughing and talking with Jocelyn. Jocelyn comes downstairs and wants to go to Canada with Carly. Carly tells Jocelyn that Jax wouldn’t tolerate her being on the run. Jason suggests there is another way. Jocelyn wonders how long Carly could stay there without being caught. Carly tells Jocelyn the blanket is the issue. Jocelyn tells Carly someone just took the blanket. Carly tells Jocelyn that Morgan’s blanket was put away in the attic.

Jocelyn continues to blame herself. Jason talks to Jocelyn. Jason tells Jocelyn some people have agendas and will always lie to her. Jason tells Jocelyn she can make her own choices and take responsibility for her own. Sonny tells Carly, Jocelyn, and Jason that the baby died. Sonny tells them Nelle’s story. Jocelyn says she did this on purpose. Sonny tells them it was a boy.

Jason wants to know how Michael is. Jocelyn offers to go to Michael since Carly and Jason can’t. Michael wonders if Jocelyn knows what happened. Carly tells Michael that Jocelyn went looking for him. Michael asks if this will all get better, Carly says it will. Sam (Kelly Monaco) shows up and brings Jason the consent form. Sam asks Jason if he thinks it’s enough to help Sam asks Jason to be careful. Sam tells Jason he’s not sorry for helping Carly, he agrees. Michael tells Carly and Sonny the baby’s name is Jonah.

Sam Gets The Consent Form

General Hospital’s Sam and Curtis (Donnell Turner) show up at Ferncliff to discuss Carly’s escape. Mary Pat (Patricia Bethune) tells Sam and Curtis that Carly is very violent. Sam wants to know how the staff handled Carly’s escape. Sam and Curtis lie about an award. Curtis explains that they purposely didn’t tell Ferncliff about the award. Sam tells Mary Pat they are no concerned.

Sam tells them they need to see Carly’s file. Curtis asks about staff to patient ratios. Mary Pat tells Curtis about the patients and their interaction. Sam got the consent form for Carly’s treatment, she hopes it’s what Jason is looking for. Jason tells Carly the D.A will cave soon because of Nelle’s confessions. Michael shows up at the safe house, Carly hugs him.

Ava Needs Julian’s Help

General Hospital’s Ava (Maura West) is on the pier ready to get rid of the blanket. Griffin (Matt Cohen) runs up and sees Ava. Griffin questions what Ava is doing. Ava gets defensive with Griffin. Ava tells Griffin she did help Nelle. Ava tells Griffin she may have egged Nelle on. Griffin asked if Ava knew Nelle’s plan. Ava tells Griffin she stayed out of Nelle’s plan.

Ava tells Griffin Nelle thought of her as a friend. Ava wishes she could have helped Nelle in a good way. Ava brings up the DNA test, Griffin says a wrong is a wrong. Ava wishes for Griffin’s clarity. Griffin says Ava has a conscience and a sole that want to do better. Ava thanks Griffin for showing up and saying all the right things. Ava grabs Griffin and kisses him. Ava calls Julian (William DeVry) and asks him to call her.

Chase And Lulu Wonder About An Accomplice

General Hospital’s Chase (Josh Swickard) slept at Lulu ’s (Emme Rylan), Rocco (O’Neill Monahan) wakes him. Chase is sick and runs to the bathroom. Lulu gives Chase ginger ale. Chase tells Lulu about meeting Nelle and sleeping with her. Chase goes on to tell Lulu how he almost lost his job because of Nelle. Chase tells her about planning this with Michael. Chase tells Lulu about Nelle’s confession. Lulu asks Chase if someone could have helped Nelle.

Kim Needs To Speak To Michael

General Hospital’s Sonny and Michael are still at the hospital. Michael still needs answers. Kim (Tamara Braun) texts Michael and needs to talk to him. Michael asks Sonny if he’s heard from Carly, he says Jason has her. Michael asks Sonny to tell Carly and Jocelyn about the baby. Sonny tells Michael Max is waiting outside if he needs him.

Michael Tells Nelle They Aren’t Married

General Hospital’s Kim tells Nelle she is fine. Nelle asks Kim to keep her longer so she doesn’t go to jail. Kim is sorry for Nelle’s loss but there is no medical reason to keep her there. The coroner has listed the cause of death as unexplained. Nelle argues that the crash killed the baby. Nelle accuses Kim of lying for Michael. Kim says the crash had nothing to do with the baby’s death.

The death certificate is ready, Kim tells them to think about giving the baby a name. Nelle says why the baby died doesn’t matter. Nothing can bring the baby back, Michael glares at her. Michael asks if they are still naming the baby Jonah. Michael tells Nelle their baby is dead, there is no us. Nelle threatens to contest the divorce. Michael says it won’t come to that. Michael tells Nelle she’s not his wife, she never was. Nelle knows she messed up, maybe she and Michael can heal together.

Michael tells Nelle maybe she is mentally ill but he doesn’t care. Nelle asks how Michael can be so cruel. Michael tells Nelle he’s taking a page from her book. Michael tells Nelle that Jason used disappearing ink. Nelle tells Michael that he said he loved her. Michael tells Nelle he never loved her. Michael says the agreement, the will, and the marriage license were all fake.

Nelle says Michael tricked her. Michael replies he was protecting his family, too little too late. Michael tells Nelle that he has a will in Diane’s (Carolyn Hennesy) office and she wouldn’t have gotten a dime. Michael walks out and leaves Nelle at the hospital.

Joss Catches Nelle

Chase gets to Nelle’s room, she’s gone. Nelle has on scrubs and is walking away, Jocelyn catches her and asks where she’s going.
