General Hospital Recap Monday, April 23: Valentin Wants Peter Gone

The General Hospital recap for Monday, May 23 reveals Ava (Maura West) tells Avery she is going home with her. Ava starts screaming and Dante (Dominic Zamprogna) tries to defuse the situation. Ava threatens to make life a living hell for Sonny’s (Maurice Benard) whole family is he doesn’t give in. Sonny tells her he’s been generous with her, Ava says screw that.

Sam, Jason, and Spinelli Threaten The Banker

Meanwhile, General Hospital Jason (Steve Burton), Sam (Kelly Monaco) and Spinelli (Bradford Anderson) are still in Switzerland. Spinelli shows them the photo of Heinrich from the banking system. Jason says he doesn’t recognize him. Spinelli tells him it’s because it isn’t him but a picture composed of several other photos. They tell the banker that they will upload the banker’s records to notify the Sultan, the Bank Board of Directors or the Russian that he has stolen from. He offers to cooperate.

Nina Has A Dinner Party

Peter (Wes Ramsey) is at Valentin’s (James Patrick Stuart) for dinner. Maxie (Kirsten Storms) shows up to bring papers to Nina. (Michelle Stafford)

Anna Admits The Truth To Robert

General Hospital Anna (Finola Hughes) tells Robert (Tristan Rogers) that she is Heinrich’s mother and wants to stop for now. Robert presses until she tells him the whole story.

The banker tells Spinelli, Sam and Jason that Heinrich contacted the bank and paid him to give him the letters but he dropped them off, they didn’t meet face to face. The banker tells them there is more stuff in the vault including a booby-trapped box that will explode if anyone else tries to open it. GH Jason takes him to get it.

Maxie starts to leave but a model shows up. Valentin tells Peter he shouldn’t have come because Nina is on to him.

Ava Wants Max Arrested

Ava wants Mike (Max Gail) arrested. Sonny is very upset and asks Griffin (Matt Cohen) for help. Griffin tells Jordan (Vinessa Antoine) that Mike is his patient and has dementia.

Diane (Carolyn Hennesy) shows up at the PCPD. Ava calls Scotty. (Kin Shriner)

Sam Threatens The Banker

Spinelli tells Jason the box can be transported. The three take it with them and want to donate all the valuables to a charity to offset some of Faison’s (Anders Hove) evil. Sam tells the banker he is safe unless he opens his mouth. He can consider himself their personal banker. They exit.

GH Robert goes on to say that he and Anna fell for each other and were married. He then found out that she was the double agent he was looking for and it all went to hell. They both apologize for each other’s pain. He offers to help her find Heinrich, but there is a condition, she cannot tell Heinrich that Anna is his mother. He says he is worried about their grandchildren. He asks Anna who else knows the truth and she tells him.

Ava Wants Full Custody Of Avery

General Hospital Diane says Mike will have to spend the night in jail but that they will be in front of a judge first thing in the morning. Sonny won’t let him stay there. Ava wants full custody and threatens to have Mike in jail for the rest of his life. Sonny lets her have Avery for the night.

Michael (Chad Duell) gives Nelle (Chloe Lanier) a drink. He tells her his parents didn’t always put them first. Nelle says Carly (Laura Wright) would do anything for her kids, he says you will too. She says she’s trying to give the baby the best life she can. Michael gets a text saying Mike and Avery were found Nelle grabs and hugs him. Michael looks totally uncomfortable.

Sonny Says Goodbye To Avery

Sonny says goodbye to Avery, Avery looks at him and Carly and says “bye Mommy and Daddy”. Ava looks furious and leaves. Mike tells Sonny he shouldn’t have done that, to choose his child. Sonny hugs him and says he loves him. Dante stays with Mike at the PCPD.

Valentin Wants Peter Gone

Maxie says the model is wrong for Peter. She sees he is uncomfortable and goes to rescue him. Valentin wants a moment with Peter. Maxie and Nina leave the room. Valentin tells him to leave town, he can’t be with Maxie, Nina won’t let him. He tells Valentin that Nina is his wife and he needs to deal with her.

The box Jason, Spinelli, and Sam got from the bank has the Cassidine family crest on it.

Sonny and Carly arrive home alone. Michael wants to know where Avery and Mike are. Sonny informs him that Mike is at the PCPD and that Ava has Avery. Nelle leaves, Michael says he needs to deal with this.
