General Hospital RECAP July 20: Diane Begs Sonny To Give Her Another Chance To Help Carly

General Hospital (GH) recap for Friday, July 20, 2018, reveals, Liesl (Kathleen Gati) starts the fire and laughs hysterically. Liesl says that Peter (Wes Ramsey) can join Faison (Anders Hove) in hell. Liesl runs out and leaves Nina (Michelle Stafford) and Peter in the fire.

Liesl Is Captured And Arrested.

Nina screams for Liesl to help, she won’t leave Peter. Nina tries to get Peter to stand but he can’t. Valentin (James Patrick Stuart) arrives and asks Liesl what she has done. Liesl admits that Nina was right, Nathan (Ryan Paevey) would not stand for this. Liesl takes a boat and leaves while Lulu (Emme Rylan) and Maxie (Kirsten Storms) are distracted. Curtis (Donnell Turner) and Finn (Michael Easton) figure out the West Nile’s story is a cover.

Finn and Curtis catch Liesl on the pier. Jordan arrests Liesl. Curtis wants to go to the island, Finn is already there. Jordan (Vinessa Antoine) is sending a police boat. Liesl tells Jordan and Curtis it is too late already. Jordan and Curtis question what Liesl means. Liesl tells Jordan and Curtis to give Anna (Finola Hughes) a message for her. Liesl tells Jordan to tell Anna now they are even.

Sonny Blame Himself For Mike’s Condition Worsening

General Hospital’s Jason (Steve Burton) asks Sonny (Maurice Benard) if there has been any word on Carly (Laura Wright). Sonny tells Jason that Diane (Carolyn Hennesy) is with Carly. Sonny doesn’t know what Carly was thinking shooting up a nurse. Sonny tells Jason there is little that Diane and do and they both know that. Sonny tells Jason that Mike (Max Gail) had a bad day.

Sonny talks about Mike leaving and his stepfather beating him and his mom. Jason tells Sonny they have other resources to help Carly. Sonny and Jason talk about Mike, he cannot put Mike in a home, his family. Sonny believes that talk about Croton has mad Mike worse. Jason tells Sonny that isn’t how it works, he’s been reading up on Alzheimer’s. Jason says Sonny has to live with his choices.

Dr. Lazarus Has Big Plans For Carly

General Hospital’s Mary Pat (Patricia Bethune) doesn’t want to let Diane see Carly. Diane threatens to contact the court and tell them Mary Pat has violated the court order if she doesn’t produce Carly immediately. Diane demands to see Carly now, Mary Pat gives her five minutes. Diane questions Carly being in a padded cell and Mary Pat being her nurse. Diane wants to know what medication Carly is on and how it is administered. Mary Pat makes Diane leave, her time is up.

Mary Pat asks about Carly’s visit with her lawyer. Mary Pat has more meds to give Carly, she says it’s doctor’s orders. Diane shows up at Sonny’s and tells him Carly’s current fate. Diane doesn’t want Sonny to go after anyone. Diane wants an independent evaluation of Carly so he can have her moved or her treatment court supervised. Meanwhile, Mary Pat tells Carly that Dr. Lazarus has a plan for her and she will be changed forever.

Nelle Needs Chase’s Help

General Hospital’s Nelle (Chloe Lanier) and Michael (Chad Duell) are at the mansion. Michael brings Nelle a snack, his grandmother made sure they were stocked with healthy snacks. Drew (Billy Miller) asks how Nelle is. Nelle says she’s sleeping with her husband tonight. Michael talks to both Jordan and Chase (Josh Swickard) and lets them know he and Nelle are home. Chase wants Michael to do things to make Nelle not trust him. Chase warns Michael to be careful.

Drew tells Nelle they are family and asks if she needs anything. Nelle wants to know how Drew got everyone to stop seeing him as a killer. Nelle tries to compare herself to Drew and questions him about Jason’s memories. Nelle wants to know how Jason got away with murder.

Drew tells Nelle that he owns Aurora and she’s going to have to look somewhere else for details on how to get away with murder. Michael sneaks out of bed and has a drink. Drew tells Michael he hasn’t slept with Nelle in a long time, it might take some getting used to. Michael tells Drew he hopes it never gets that far. Nelle calls Chad and tells him he was right about Michael. Nelle tells Chase she needs his help.

Valentin Saves Nina

General Hospital’s Valentin is still at the police station. Curtis is there as well and tells Jordan and Finn that Liesl may be losing it. Curtis tells Jordan and Finn that Liesl knocked Franco out. Valentin demands his phone call, Chase says he will check on it. Chase comes back in and asks about the call, he says no need and releases Valentin and admits he was telling the truth. Curtis says Liesl could still be around the docks or the island.

Valentin arrives on the island and sees the fire. Valentin goes in after Nina and brings her out, she isn’t breathing. Valentin gives Nina CPR. Finn arrives and takes over CPR. Nina finally makes up and asks about Peter. Nina tells Valentin that Peter was tied up in the tack room. Valentin couldn’t see Peter through the smoke.

Maxie, Lulu, And Valentin Go To The Island

General Hospital’s Maxie tells Lulu she needs to get to Spoon Island. Maxie tells Lulu there is no quarantine. Lulu offers to take the Zodiac from the Haunted Star. Maxie tells Lulu she thinks Nina and Liesl have Peter. Maxie tells Lulu about the cabin. Maxie tells Lulu if Liesl sees the cops she might hurt Peter. Valentin agrees and says the launch is on the way. Valentin asks Lulu and Maxie who wants a ride. Lulu and Maxie get to the island and call for help. Maxie looks for another way into the tack room while Valentin in saving Nina, there isn’t one.
