General Hospital Recap Friday, September 14: Sonny Devastated: Mike Makes A Life Changing Decision

General Hospital (GH) recap for Friday, September 14, 2018 reveals, Curtis (Donnell Turner) and Drew (Billy Miller) are having a drink. Today is Drew’s birthday, but he doesn’t want a party. Valentin (James Patrick Stuart) meets with Curtis and pushes him to hurry with the search.

Curtis Has A Lead On Nina’s Daughter

Curtis is getting someone to backtrace a wire transfer. Nina (Michelle Stafford) walks in on Curtis and Valentin’s conversation. Curtis and Valentin lie, but she says it’s not important. Nina points out a guy she thinks is following her. Valentin has hired a bodyguard for Nina. Curtis gets a phone call and has to take it. Nina wonders why Valentin hired a bodyguard.

Valentin tells Nina about Cassandra (Jessica Tuck). Nina wants to know why Valentin didn’t just tell her about Cassandra. Valentin wants Nina to move home for her safety. Nina tells Valentin she can hire her bodyguard. Curtis offers to put Nina in contact with someone. Nina changes her mind about a bodyguard. Curtis wants to know about Cassandra. Curtis tells Valentin a single woman has Nina’s child.

Maxie And Peter Stuck In An Elevator

General Hospital’s Maxie (Kirsten Storms) and Peter (Wes Ramsey) are in the elevator when it breaks down. Peter is claustrophobic in the elevator. Maxie tries to calm him down. Peter can’t breathe and removes his shirt. Maxie gets Peter to sit down with her. Maxie coaches Peter on breathing. Maxie calms Peter down. Maxie wants to play a game to calm Peter down. Peter ask Maxie if he forgets all the bad things he has done, how does he make up for them.

Monica Throw Drew A Party

General Hospital’s Monica (Leslie Charleston) and Kim (Tamara Braun) are preparing for the party. Kim asks who else is on the guest list. Sam (Kelly Monaco) arrives at the mansion. Sam asks where Michael (Chad Duell) is. Sam understands what Michael is going through over the baby. Sam tells Kim about Lila. Sam tells Kim about Danny’s (T.K.Weaver) leukemia.

Sam tells Kim that miracles do happen. Kim asks if Sam knows. Sam is so sorry about Oscar’s (Garren Stitt) prognosis. Kim is visibly upset that Drew said anything. Sam tells Kim that Drew was a wreck and needed someone to talk to and Drew trusts her. Sam offers to be there for Kim and Oscar. Kim tells Sam this is none of her business. Drew shows up and pretends to be surprised. Sam starts to leave; Drew tells her to stay. Kim wants to meet with Drew later.

Kim wants to figure out how to communicate better with Drew. Oscar comes in, and Sam asks about his hand. Oscar says he bumped into something. Sam believes Oscar has been in a fight. Sam tells Drew and Kim that Oscar has been in a fight. Monica treats Oscar’s hand. Kim and Drew yelled at Oscar over the fight. Monica and Oscar go to cut Drew’s cake.

Nina Speaks To A Jeweler

General Hospital’s Nina meets with someone about the pendant. The jeweler doesn’t know anything about the pendant. The jeweler tells Nina the original was divided him half. Nina goes to the elevator and Peter, and Maxie falls out the door as it opens. Nina doesn’t want details and leave, Maxie follows.

Jordan And Margaux Want To Speak To Mike

General Hospital’s Jordan (Briana Nicole Henry) and Margaux (Elizabeth Hendrickson) discuss a bullet fragment found in the body. Jordan is checking to see if the bullet belongs to a gun used in another crime. Jordan has Frank Smith’s (Joe Cortese) file pulled for Margaux.

Margaux wants to talk to Luke (Tony Geary) and Laura (Genie Francis). Jordan and Margaux decide to talk to Kevin (Jon Lindstrom). Jordan tells Margaux the body can’t be tied to Sonny because he didn’t live in Port Charles then. Margaux and Jordan show up to speak to Mike (Max Gail).

Mike Wants To Check Out Homes

General Hospital’s Carly (Laura Wright) wants to talk to Sonny (Maurice Benard). Carly tells Sonny that things are adding up. Carly is afraid of a tragedy; it has been close too many times. Carly and Mike know they can’t keep this up, she believes Sonny knows too. Sonny doesn’t like that Carly wants to discuss this now. Carly questions if they can wait any longer.

Sonny says everything he does is to protect Mike. Carly tells Sonny that it’s not working. Sonny says sending Mike away isn’t what he needs. Carly tells Sonny that Mike needs to decide for himself. Carly tells Sonny he needs to take Mike at his word and let him go. Mike overhears the conversation. Mike tells Sonny that it’s time to let him go. Mike says he’s playing with a full deck and he realizes this. Carly didn’t mean for Mike to hear any of that conversation.

Sonny offers to hire more help. Mike tells Sonny every day he is losing a bit of himself. Mike tells Sonny that Avery tells him her other name is Courtney. Mike tells Sonny he doesn’t want to face the day that he doesn’t recognize Avery. Mike asks Sonny what happens when a home becomes a prison. Mike can’t stand having Sonny see him like this. Sonny tells Mike his pride is talking. Mike asks if he’s not allowed to have pride and dignity. Mike wants to know what will happen when Sonny and Carly are the strangers. Mike hates to leave Sonny again, but he has to. Sonny and Mike cry together.
