General Hospital RECAP Friday, June 29: Baby Shower Shockers, Spinelli Works His Magic

“General Hospital” (GH) recap for Friday, June 29, 2018, Jason (Steve Burton) and Sam (Kelly Monaco) arrive at the PCPD, he warns her to be careful. Spinelli (Bradford Anderson) joins Jason at Sonny’s (Maurice Benard) restaurant.

Spinelli Makes The Note Reappear

Jason tells Spinelli that Kevin (Jon Lindstrom) turned him in but she does have a phone. Jason and Spinelli question how to prove Carly (Laura Wright) innocent. Jason tells Spinelli that Sam is on the case.

Jason tells Spinelli about the flyer and its message to go to Morgan’s (Bryan Craig) grave. Spinelli asks if Nelle (Chloe Lanier) could have called in the disturbance call. Sam shows up with the flyer. Sam tells Spinelli about the PI firm with Curtis (Donnell Turner).

Sam apologies because Spinelli is in Oregon all the time but wants him to consult when available. Jason appreciates Sam and Spinelli helping him out. Sam tells Jason and Spinelli it feels like old times. Spinelli feels he can relate to Jason’s feelings when he found Sam with Drew.

Spinelli doesn’t believe Sam and Curtis can be as close as he and Sam were. Jason tells Spinelli that Sam and Drew are divorcing. Spinelli feels Sam is more herself with Jason and himself than anyone else. Spinelli thinks Sam will find her way back to Jason.

Spinelli makes a solution to show the message on the flyer. Spinelli sprays the flyer and he and Jason wait for it to appear. Jason is starting to understand Nelle, Spinelli calls her a sociopath.

Jason says if he has paid attention, he would have noticed this. Jason tells Spinelli how caged Carly feels because he was the same way in Russia. The message appears on the flyer, Spinelli says Carly was right, Jason agrees now they have proof.

Franco Wants Drew As His Best Man

General Hospital’s Drew (Billy Miller) admits to Liz (Rebecca Herbst) that the thought crossed his mind to try and take Jason down. Franco (Roger Howarth) shows up and asks Drew if he is there to talk Liz out of the wedding, she tells him no. Drew tells Franco he will be happy to attend the wedding.

Drew tells Franco he considers him a friend, he protected him when they were younger. Franco wants to ask Drew a question. Liz asks if Franco is trying to ask Drew to be his best man. Drew tells Franco he will be honored to be his best man and they joke.

Liz gets a text from Terry (Cassandra James) from Boulder. Liz tells Drew and Franco about Terry and her childhood. Franco is jealous of Terry, Drew rolls his eyes. Drew takes Franco out for a drink, they go to Charlie’s and find it closed. Drew talks to Franco about Terry and tells him to have faith in himself and Liz. Terry shows up at Liz’s door as a woman.

Maxie’s Baby Shower Reveals More Than Gifts

General Hospital’s Felica (Kristina Wagner) and Maxie (Kirsten Storms) arrive at her shower, Nina (Michelle Stafford) and Liesl (Kathleen Gati) aren’t there. Nina and Liesl are with Peter, his infection is much more. Nina tells Liesl to get more antibiotics.

Liesl tells Nina they are due at Maxie’s shower. Liesl won’t stay with Peter or let Nina. Julian (William DeVry) and Bobbie (Jackie Zeman) discuss Lucas (Ryan Carnes) and Brad’s (Parry Shen) baby, he promises to stand by his word to stay away.

Jordan (Vinessa Antoine) arrives and asks Lulu (Emme Rylan) if she has heard from Dante (Dominic Zamprogna). Lulu and Jordan explain about the WSB assignment. Maxie and Lulu bond. Liesl and Nina finally arrive Maxie wonders where they have been.

Liesl and Nina came up with something Maxie can use. Sam tells Nina she was busy working on a case. Liesl wants Sam to decorate. Maxie announces that James gets to come home the day after tomorrow. Sam eyes Nina and Liesl like she thinks they are up to something.

Maxie thanks everyone for herself, James and Nathan. Liesl and Nina make excuses for not being around and they are invited to come over any time.

Julian brings up the woods to Liesl, Sam is hanging on to every word. Liesl and Nina go outside and discuss Julian seeing her in the woods and her excuse. Nina tells Liesl that if Julian and Kim (Tamara Braun) came close to finding Peter someone else could.

Kevin And Carly Reach An Understanding

General Hospital’s patient in 22 keeps beating on the wall, Carly says she can’t help him. Kevin arrives and asks Carly how she is. Carly tells Kevin she isn’t great because Jason was fired and asks if he knows anything about that. Kevin admits to Carly that he got Jason fired.

Kevin wants to explain to Carly why he got Jason fired. Kevin tell Carly he did it to protect her. Kevin explains to Carly that she would be alone if Mary-Pat (Patricia Bethune) found out he knew about Jason. Kevin tells Carly his patients need him, he can’t afford to have his privileges revoked.

Carly understands Kevin’s point and wants him to understand hers. Kevin doesn’t understand how Carly and Jason’s bond formed. Carly tells Kevin she frustrates Jason all the time, he’s always there for her. Kevin admits to being wrong about Jason not being able to form emotional bonds.

Carly tells Kevin about her and Jason’s relationship from the start. Carly says after everything she and Jason still love each other. Kevin thinks Carly is incredibly fortunate. Kevin tells Carly that Jason wasn’t doing anything she can’t do for herself.

Carly tells Kevin what Jason would say if he was there. Carly tells Kevin she needs to follow the rules and give Jason and Sonny time to work this out. Carly tells Kevin about the patient knowing SOS. Kevin tells Carly to not engage with the patient. Carly thanks Kevin, she’s glad he’s her doctor.

Peter Is Delirious

General Hospital’s Peter (Wes Ramsey) dreams that Maxie is with him. Peter thinks Maxie is there to save him. Maxie tells Peter she is there to watch him suffer. Maxie blames Peter for killing Nathan. Nathan tells Maxie he stayed for her, he wanted to be someone she could count on.

Maxie tells Peter he is a lie. Peter tells Maxie he made his own life, he’s no longer his father’s pawn. Peter believes Maxie tells him she wishes he had been her friend. Peter says he will let go if Maxie wants, he hears taps playing and Maxie disappears. Peter imagines someone else coming in and begs for help.
