General Hospital Recap 3/21/18: Drew and Franco Escape – Betsy Rescued

The General Hospital recap for Wednesday, March 21, reveals Sam Cain (Kelly Monaco) and General Hospital Elizabeth Webber (Rebecca Herbst) beg the rescue workers to save Drew Cain (Billy Miller) and Franco Baldwin (Roger Howarth). Unfortunately, they are unable to help, causing Elizabeth and Sam rush off to the PCPD.

Jim Harvey Questioned

At the PCPD, General Hospital Jim Harvey (Gregg Evigan) is questioned by Detective Harrison Chase (Josh Swickard) about Drew’s ring. Harvey throws suspicion off himself by accusing Sam and Elizabeth of planting it in his room. As Harvey leaves, Chase tells him not to leave town then calls for a search warrant.

Betsy Rescued

In Buffalo, General Hospital Curtis Ashford (Donnell Turner) and Jordan Ashford (Vinessa Antoine) discover a very frightened Betsy Frank (Deborah Strang), who admits to being held captive in Harvey’s home for the past several months. They offer to take her to the E.R., she refuses, saying she must tell the truth to Bobby and Andy. Jordan calls Chase at the PCPD to arrest Harvey for unlawful imprisonment.

Drew and Franco Escape

Meanwhile, Drew and Franco finds an escape route through the sewer and manage to climb out of the water at pier 54 onto the docks. A very grateful Sam and Elizabeth arrive at the PCPD just as a very wet and smelly Drew and Franco arrive safely.

Ava Warns Nelle

At the gallery, Nelle Benson (Chole Lanier) surveys her handiwork as General Hospital Ava Jerome (Maura West) inquires what she is doing. Ava advises Nelle to rethink her plan and warns her she cannot be involved in anything that would cause her to lose Avery (Ava/Grace Scarola) or jeopardize her relationship with Griffin Munro (Matt Cohen). Griffin overhears the tail end of the conversation and asks Ava about it but she responds by telling him she needs more of his love and later he agrees to move in with her until his apartment has been repaired from the earthquake damage.

Nelle Ruins Michael’s Date

General hospital Michael Corinthos (Chad Duell) and Nurse Francesca (Celesta DeAstis) meet at Kelly’s for their first date and engage in playful conversation until Nelle walks in and interrupts them. She introduces herself to Francesca and deliberately mentions to Michael about their childbirth classes and tells him she will see him at ‘home’. Michael is left to do damage control and tries to explain the situation. Francesca tells a disappointed Michael that she is not ready to be in a complicated relationship but asks him to keep her number just in case.
