General Hospital Poll: Was Sam Right To Break Drew’s Heart Then Ask Him To Stay?

General Hospital Sam Cain (Kelly Monaco) finally confessed to her husband Drew Cain (Billy Miller) that she still loves Jason Morgan (Steve Burton). She told Drew she and Jason kissed on New Year’s Eve. Drew was so devastated by this revelation he could barely believe what Sam was telling him. He was moved to tears as he reminded her of their vows. Drew was so crestfallen he removed his wedding ring and left Sam weeping and begging him not to leave her. Was Sam right to break Drews’ heart and then ask him to stay?

Sam is a woman torn by the fact that she loves two men. There are many General Hospital fans who believe Sam’s confession was long overdue. They point to the fact that Sam never stopped loving Jason. These fans say Sam begged Drew to stay out of guilt. She didn’t mean to hurt him. Although General Hospital fans feel sorry for Drew, they say this day had to come; it was inevitable.

General Hospital spoilers tease that Sam will find inner peace with her decision but if this is the case, why would she break Drews Heart then ask him to remain in a relationship where he could not be number one in her heart?
Other General Hospital fans believe Sam had to tell him she still had feelings for Jason. They say Sam loves Jason but is in love with Drew. Drew is her present and her future.

She didn’t confess to Drew because she wanted to end their marriage, she wanted to clear her conscience and assure him that she is committed to him. She didn’t mean to break his heart. Why would she bring up their daughter Scout (Palmer/Poe Parker) if she was planning on leaving him? If she meant to break his heart, why would she sob so bitterly and beg him to stay with her if she had planned to run to Jason?
