General Hospital News: Maurice Benard’s New Film Gets Premiere Date!

We’ve got good news for Maurice Benard fans. Those looking to see a little more of him on the small screen are in luck. That’s because his new film, Victoria Gotti: My Father’s Daughter, has just gotten a premiere date. Here’s what you need to know.

The Port Charles actor has been hard at work these last few months while he’s been working on both the set of General Hospital and his new Lifetime network movie, too. According to Deadline, the movie was executive produced and narrated by Victoria Gotti herself and has a premiere date of February 9th.

Maurice Benard’s New Movie

Maurice, who is best known for his role as Sonny Corinthos on General Hospital, plays Victoria’s father, mob boss John Gotti. In the film, Victoria shares never before revealed stories about her life and how she always worried about her controversial father. Deadline says the film will focus on “the tragedy of her younger brother’s death; and her turbulent romance, forbidden by her father, with the man who later became her husband.”

What’s more, Victoria Gotti promises that viewers will get a front row seat to her fascinating life as she tried to reconcile with her loving father while the outside world was determined to bring him down. David Schneiderman is listed as a co-writer and Catherine Cryan as the director.

Maurice Benard’s Movie On Lifetime

It sounds like this is a movie that we will definitely keep on our radar. The film will premiere on the Lifetime network. We can’t wait to see it! General Hospital airs weekdays on the ABC network.
