As many fans know Maura is part of the Jerome crime family in Port Charles. She was first introduced as a former lover of Franco and the mother of Kiki Jerome, who is the missing heiress of the Quartermaine family fortune. She is an art dealer and has also been mentioned as the youngest child of the Jerome crime family, who were first introduced to the soap back in the late 1980s.

Throughout her five years on General Hospital, Ava has had plenty of dramatic moments and storylines. Most recently she’s been involved with resident heartthrob Griffin. If that weren’t enough, she also had to deal with her own health problems, Connie Falconeri’s murder and so much more.
Before joining General Hospital, fans can remember seeing Ava as Carly on As The World Turns and Diane on The Young and the Restless. Maura has been married to her husband Scott DeFreitas since January of 2002. The couple have four children together. Before Scott, she was married to Jonathan Knight of New Kids on the Block fame.
Congratulations to Maura on this milestone and we cannot wait to see more of her in the future, both on and off screen. After all, she is a fan favorite for a good reason!
