General Hospital News: GH Cuts August Short – ABC Soap Preemption Schedule

General Hospital spoilers indicate that fans of the ABC soap will not get a full month of new episodes in August 2018.

TPTB at General Hospital have confirmed that new episodes of General Hospital will NOT be airing in the final days of August.

The ABC soap opera will be airing re-run episodes of August 29-31.  Nathan Varni took to social media and revealed that GH apparently didn’t film enough new episodes for the summer.  They anticipated more interruptions due to politics than there actually was.

Varni tweeted, “You shouldn’t be worried, it’s been planned for months. Last yr we didn’t have to take additional encores because Trump interrupted the show so much. This year, with less interruptions, we needed to take some some extra days off based on the # of new eps we produce for you.”
