General Hospital News: Ashley Jones Reveals She Auditioned For Another Soap Role

General Hospital actress Ashley Jones has had quite a bit of free time on her hands since Parker left Port Charles for the foreseeable future, and has not been on the canvas for months now.

The soap opera star took to her personal blog to give her fans and followers an update on her acting career.  Jones opened up about a recent audition for a huge role on NBC soap opera Days of Our Lives.

Days of Our Lives is the only daytime soap opera left on television that Ashley Jones has not appeared on yet.  Considering her fan base, and former co-stars already in Salem, you would think that TPTB would be thrilled to have Jones.  Plot twist, she didn’t get the job!

We are still baffled why Days Of Our Lives would choose not to cast Ashley Jones. But, the actress is taking the bad news in stride and appears to have already bounced back and is already searching for other gigs.  You can read all about her DOOL audition and other projects in the pipeline right here.
