It looks like General Hospital’s Maurice Benard has a lot to look forward to in the next couple or months. As a matter of fact, the popular actor, who plays mobster Michael ‘Sonny’ Corinthos on the hit ABC soap, has revealed what he would like to see next for his character.

As many fans know, Sonny has seen and done it all. He’s had plenty of love interests (even though he and Carly always end up back together again), has buried plenty of bodies in Port Charles and has seen more drama and conflict than anyone else on the show. But if there’s one thing that he wouldn’t mind seeing again, it’s two old characters make a big, unexpected comeback.
In a new interview with Soap Hub, the handsome actor says that he wouldn’t mind seeing AJ and Connie back in Port Charles. He explained, “I’m fine with bringing back anybody. I’m not like I used to be…you can bring back Connie, AJ, we’d have scenes that’d be really great. I’m all for that.”
He also said that he wouldn’t have a problem giving Ava and Sonny a clean slate after they both supposedly killed Connie and AJ, especially if they aren’t dead after all.
Meanwhile, it looks like Sonny is on a mission with Jason Morgan (Steve Burton) to help rescue Nathan (Ryan Paevey) and Dante (Dominic Zamprogna) from Faison’s (Anders Hove) evil wrath. Time will only tell if they’ll manage to get both men alive before Faison makes them their next victims. It’s without a doubt that Sonny always loves a good challenge, and this might be one of his biggest ones yet.
