General Hospital star Laura Wright admits that she is impressed with the storylines that the General Hospital writers have been creating. Jason and Drew’s memory mapping ordeal has been one of the biggest stories that the soap has seen in recent years and according to Laura, it’s only going to get better.

Laura, who plays Carly on the highly rated soap, says she’s fortunate to work on a series that is so well-written. She says that every character gets an opportunity to shine, as everyone gets their point of view across thanks to the different perspectives. And even though the memory mapping drama seems “out there” for a lot of people, Laura doesn’t see it that way.
The blonde beauty told ABC Soaps In Depth in a new interview, “It’s our job to sell it. Buffy The Vampire Slayer was one of the number one shows when it was airing – and they believed there were vampires in their town! We watched it and we believed it, because they believed it.”
As far as all the madness that has been going on in Port Charles, Laura says that it’s all become part of the character’s everyday lives. A memory mapping storyline might not be realistic for some, but for Jason, Drew, Sam, Carly and everyone else involved, it is.
Laura added, “For me, that meant looking at Jason’s face when he came back and not ignoring how insane it was. It was crazy – and Carly thought so, too! – but it was really happening, so that was her reality.”
