General Hospital Inks New Deal With Kentucky Fried Chicken

By now, many daytimes and primetime television viewers are used to seeing plenty of product placements in their favorite shows. Seeing soap opera characters using their favorite brand of shampoo, enjoying a name-brand wine or wearing a certain clothing line is nothing new.

Well, it looks like you can add favorite fast food hot spot to the growing list of brands that will be featured on daytime television, as Kentucky Fried Chicken has just inked a new deal with General Hospital.

That’s right: Port Charles residents will be casually eating chicken wings and tenders from Kentucky Fried Chicken in the coming weeks, thanks to a new content pact deal that was brokered between Disney ABC and Kentucky Fried Chicken.

Apparently, the Colonel himself will be appearing on a storyline promoting KFC’s Pickle Fried Chicken with characters Maxie Jones West (Kirsten Storms) and Lulu Spencer Falconeri (Emme Ryan), according to one reliable source.

If that weren’t enough, Kentucky Fried Chicken has also been tweeting about the show on their official social media account. The fast food chain has been commenting about Kiki’s current storyline along with all of Nelle’s shenanigans.

Insiders say that fans can also expect to see legend George Hamilton make an appearance as Colonel Sanders in an upcoming General Hospital arc. Here’s hoping it will be a finger-licking good time. Is anyone hungry yet?
