GH fans are complaining about Peter being tortured on General Hospital. Have the writers taken this revenge with Liesl too far? Here are some of the fan excuses, so you can choose for yourself.
He Never Gets Bathroom Breaks
Who do we ever see go to the bathroom on a soap? People who are up walking around every day rarely mention a bathroom break just like we rarely see them eating.
This is a show people, I am sure that the actual actors are allowed breaks when needed but characters do not require bathroom breaks, they never have. You rarely even hear woman excuse themselves to “powder their nose” anymore unless there is the occasional bathroom confrontation scripted

Peter Is Hurt, He Needs A Doctor
Ok, he has a broken hand, is Liesl not giving him something for pain and antibiotics? Yes, she is and she is also a doctor. Nina is not going to let him die there, we all know that. Nina checks on him constantly to ensure his safety.
He Doesn’t Get Food
Neither do people on deserted islands, it’s been hours as he said, not weeks. When have the networks every let a character starve to death? I don’t require seeing it happen and it’s not going to start now. Nina will feed him if Liesl doesn’t.
This Is The Worst Abuse On A Soap
Absolutely NOT! Anyone who watched One Life To Live saw much worse when Todd (who turned out to be Victor) was kidnapped by Margaret Cochran. This woman tried to get him to sleep with her, he refused. He was tied to a bed, shot in not one but both legs, given Viagra and raped people.
When Liesl tries that then we can talk worse torture. Jason was drugged and forced to watch what he thought was his wife being raped. Sam believed for two years she was raped. Marlena (Day Of Our Lives) was brainwashed and killed people because of a crazy person.
Roman (DOOL) was shot and kidnapped for years, and someone else lived his life. We have seen Sami (DOOL) framed and almost killed by lethal injection. We have seen John Black (DOOL) in the gas chamber. Believe me, a broken hand and restraints are not that bad.
Jason Wasn’t Tortured
Wrong, Peter held Jason in a clinic against his will, he was restrained either to a wheelchair or a bed. He was kept in a face mask, denied human contact and fed HORSE TRANQUILIZERS! Jason could have died because Peter wanted to use him as a weapon. Jason did not know if the wife and child were even alive after being shot in the back and kicked in the harbor. Jason was there for YEARS not a matter of DAYS.
Peter Didn’t Do Anything Wrong
Wrong again, Peter knew who Nathan was because Lulu told him and he still chose to lure Faison there without bothering to warn Nathan. Peter was prepared and wore a bulletproof vest because he knew he would be shot, Nathan was coming to save his wife, and had no idea Faison would be at Crimson.
Peter brought this on himself, all he had to do was be honest for once and clue one person in on what he was doing, but NO he refused to do that. Peter has not one person to blame for Liesl holding him but himself.
Peter could have made other choices but he chose not to, he chose to escape police custody, and he chose to try and run. Fans blame Nathan for being shot because they say he should have known how dangerous Faison was.
Maybe Peter should have had the good sense to go to the WSB instead of trying to escape what he started. Peter knew Liesl, he grew up around her, so with that logic, Peter should have known not to put Liesl’s son in the line of fire. He brought Liesl down on his head all by himself.
