General Hospital Dr Obrecht Vows Revenge On Peter But Is It For Nathan, Or Because He’s Anna’s Son?

General Hospital (GH) Dr. Obrecht (Kathleen Gati) has had an issue with Anna Devane (Finola Hughes) for years because of Faison’s (Anders Hove) obsession with Anna. Although Liesl always loved Faison he always wanted Anna and Liesl couldn’t handle that. Now Dr. Obrecht knows that Anna’s son Peter (Wes Ramsey) is partially responsible for Nathan’s death. Does Dr. O want revenge for Nathan, or is the need for revenge more based on her hate for Anna?

Dr. O Wanted Nathan Safe From Faison

Dr. Obrecht chose to keep Nathan (Ryan Paevey) from his father Faison because she wanted to protect him. Now she finds out that the anonymous son Faison raised belongs to none other than Anna aka Scarecrow who she considers her arch rival. Maybe Dr. O is rethinking her decision now and wishing she had let Faison know about their son Nathan. Perhaps had Faison known about Nathan, he wouldn’t have shot him that night at Crimson. As a mother she made the best decision she could at the time, however, a mother often has regrets and this very well could be her biggest one.

Peter Is Still Alive

As for Peter, Faison was not the best of parents by any means, however, he is still alive. Faison raised him from birth and was very demeaning to Peter from what we have heard. Nathan had a loving family and grew up safe and happy. Whereas Peter had mentors like Valentin, the person who put him with Faison.

Anna Tried To Protect Peter Too

As much as Dr. O hates Anna, one has to wonder if she realizes that Anna tried to protect her son as well. If things had worked the way Anna wanted, no one would have ever known Peter existed. However, we highly doubt she’s going to overlook that Anna’s son was there when her son was killed. Peter doesn’t have a chance in the world of escaping Dr. O’s wrath because being Faison and Anna’s son is the equivalent to having a bullseye painted on his bad. Dr. O feels he has wronged her son and being Anna son makes her more determined to exact her revenge.
