General Hospital Donnell Turner Shuts Down Jordan Recast Complaints – Rushes to Briana Nicole Henry’s Defense

“General Hospital” news tease that Briana Nicole Henry will continue to settle in as the new Jordan Ashford. She’s off to a strong start as a recast, but some GH fans out there aren’t giving her a real chance. Once Henry has the opportunity to flex her acting chops and interact with more characters, it should be easier to accept her as Jordan.

There’s always an adjustment period when a different actor takes over, but it’s best to stay open-minded about new hires. Recasts are the norm on daytime dramas, so people might as well give the newbies a shot. “General Hospital” viewers will miss Vinessa Antoine’s portrayal, but that doesn’t mean we can’t appreciate Henry in the role, too.

Nevertheless, there are already some naysayers who think Henry won’t have a spark with Donnell Turner as Curtis. One fan tweeted Turner about that recently. He or she suggested that Curtis had more chemistry with Sasha Gilmore (Sofia Mattsson) than the new version of Jordan.

Of course, Turner had to pipe up when he heard that. Since no Curtis and new Jordan scenes have aired, it’s impossible to judge their chemistry. Turned asked, “What…are you trying to start?! You haven’t even seen us in a scene together yet! Foh!”

After the fan replied that it was just an observation, he or she argued that there was no need to see a scene. This viewer seems to think he or she can somehow just know! Turner decided not to push the issue, so he just tweeted back a facepalm emoji and told this puzzling viewer to have a nice day. He clearly wasn’t getting anywhere by arguing, but it’s nice that he stood up for Henry and her work.
