General Hospital Comings and Goings: Two Major Characters Are Leaving!

General Hospital comings and goings indicate that two fan favorites have checked out from Port Charles: actresses Vinessa Antoine and Chloe Lainer.

Vinessa is leaving to take on the lead role of a new upcoming drama called Diggstown, while Chloe is leaving the soap in order to pursue other opportunities in the entertainment industry.

According to ABC Soaps in Depth, there’s a possibility that Vinessa might come back to play Jordan Ashford, but only when her schedule allows. Now that she will be filming Diggstown, the actress will be spending more time in Toronto, which means it will be harder for her to film General Hospital in Los Angeles.

In addition, Chloe Lanier will also be wrapping up her role as the vindictive and vicious Nelle. For many fans it will be sad to see someone like Chloe leave, as she brought her character Nelle to a whole new level.

When she first came on in 2015, everyone was so impressed with Chloe that General Hospital executive producer Frank Valentini knew that he had to make room and a special role just for her. The actress recalled back in 2016, “Frank called me personally and he pretty much convinced me to do it. And I’m very happy that he did!”

Right now there is no word on whether or not General Hospital producers will recast Nelle. We will bring you all the latest news once we hear it first! General Hospital airs weekdays on the ABC network. Check your local listings for times.
