General Hospital Comings and Goings: Chet Checks InDon’t count him out just yet. New General Hospital comings and goings indicate that Chet is back in Port Charles. Marine veteran Chris Van Etten is reprising his role as Chet in the coming weeks. Here’s what we know.

According to ABC Soaps in Depth, Chris is returning as Amy’s big brother Chet. The last time that fans saw him was back in the Spring. The actor is a wounded veteran who also plays a wounded vet on the small screen, too.

Luckily Chet is on the mend as he is sober, happy and healthy. He wants to continue being an inspiration to other people and that’s why he’s determined to stay clean.

General Hospital spoilers indicate that Chet is back to hopefully give Maxie a little reassurance that things will get better in a pep talk that the two will have together. Maxie is having a tough time this holiday season, as it will be her first Christmas without her husband Nathan, who passed away earlier this year.

As far as Amy (played by actress Risa Dorkin), General Hospital producers have made no indication on whether or not she will be returning to the small screen anytime soon. Yet, several reports indicate that the bubbly nurse is still a part of the General Hospital family and that she will return in the future. In other words, that means fans will simply have to continue tuning in to find out what will happen next!
