Breaking: General Hospital Chloe Lanier Quits! – Nelle Leaving Port Charles!

General Hospital spoilers indicate that actress Chloe Lanier has quit the soap. The actress, who is best known for her role as the manipulative villain Nelle, has decided to pursue other primetime and film projects instead. Reports say that this will be Chloe’s last week of taping on the highly rated ABC daytime soap.

Fans will recall that Chloe Lanier first appeared on General Hospital as Patricia Spencer in a special 2015 flashback storyline. Because she managed to impress the show’s producers, the writers decided to create a new character just for her. In 2016, she made her debut as Janelle “Nelle” Hayes, the secret stepsister of Carly Corinthos (Laura Wright).

Since her arrival in Port Charles, Nelle has been causing nothing but drama for the Corinthos family. She fell pregnant with Michael’s (Chad Duell) child and has made it her mission to erase Carly (Laura Wright) from the picture altogether. And so far her plan has worked. After claiming that Carly pushed her down the stairs at her baby shower, she’s now locked up at the Ferncliff mental institution.

As far as what is going to happen to Chloe’s character Nelle, no one knows for sure. With a baby on the way and Carly at Ferncliff, it will be interesting to see what direction the writers will go in. Many General Hospital fans can’t help but point out that Nelle’s current storylines is one of the most dramatic ones on the show right now. Of course, fans will just have to tune in to find out what is going to happen next.
