General Hospital Alum Christopher Lawford Passes Away

We’ve got bad news for General Hospital fans this week. There’s a new report that says actor Christopher Lawford is dead. Christopher, the son of Peter Lawford and Patricia Kennedy (and John F. Kennedy’s nephew) has passed away at the age of 63 after an incident at his yoga studio.

According to TMZ, Christopher was at a yoga studio on Tuesday night when he had a medical emergency. His death appears to be from natural causes, although a coroner is performing an autopsy to determine the exact cause of death.

Although Christopher has been keeping a relatively low profile in recent years, he has always been well known and well respected in Hollywood. He’s appeared on a number of daytime television shows, including General Hospital and All My Children.

In addition to his work in the soap world, he’s also appeared on Frasier and various other television shows and had a role in the hit film Terminator 3. He was also a correspondent on Extra.Before he began working in the entertainment industry, he often hung out with the First Family during JFK’s presidency. His childhood years were spent hanging out at the White House or at Kennedy get togethers along with his cousins Maria Shriver, John F. Kennedy, Jr. and Carole Kennedy.

A graduate of Boston College School of Law, Christopher was always very active in the political world. He was a member of the Democratic National Committee and worked for his Uncle, Senator Ted Kennedy.
