General Hospital Alum Accused Of Abuse

According to new reports, a General Hospital alum has been accused of physical assault by a female co-star. In fact, actress Busy Philipps says that James Franco allegedly assaulted her on the set of Freaks and Geeks while both were on the television show back in 1999. Busy even goes as far as to say that James was one of the biggest bullies behind the scenes on the show. James once portrayed Franco on General Hospital from 2009 to 2012.

Busy made the shocking revelation in her upcoming memoir, This Will Only Hurt A Little. The actress recalled a moment in which she was instructed to lightly hit Franco in the chest for a scene on the show. Busy alleges that James broke out of character and supposed attacked her on set.

“He grabbed both my arms and screamed in my face, ‘DON’T EVER TOUCH ME AGAIN!’” Philipps writes in her book. “And he threw me to the ground. Flat on my back. Wind knocked out of me.”

James then stormed off from the said according to Busy. She also says that he apologized the next day for his behavior after he was ordered to do so by the show’s director and producers. But he was never punished for his behavior.

Busy also said, “He felt like he wanted his character to be one way. He had had a discussion with the producers that he came from an abused family or something, and so he didn’t want his girlfriend — I played his girlfriend — to ever physically hit him. I never knew this conversation existed, and in an improv, I smacked him on the thing, and he was like, ‘Don’t ever touch me,’ and grabbed me and shoved me to the ground. It was an overreaction by a 19-year-old dude. And it was weird and people’s agents had to be called and he had to apologize to me.”
