Emmerdale Spoilers: Tragic Acid Attack On Fan Favorite

A rumored acid attack storyline on Emmerdale has been confirmed and disturbingly it involves two of the show’s fan favorites. Far from being a random attack on a stranger, the traumatic event occurs when one character’s act of vengeance goes terribly wrong.

The Emmerdale plot rumor picked up steam after it was revealed that the show was doing research into the topic. What wasn’t revealed at the time was who would be involved. Now we know: Ross Barton (Mike Parr) and Debbie Dingle (Charley Webb).

The ominous Emmerdale plot hinges on bad guy Joseph Tate (Ned Porteus). The smarmy smooth-talker came to town with an agenda to take over the Dingle land and put a golf course on it. If only he had been honest from the get-go.

Instead he pulled the wool over everyone’s eyes and used an alias to boot. Karma was bound to catch up to him and eventually he wound up as vulnerable prey in a gaping hole in the ground in the woods that someone arranged for him to fall into. Boom!

Except that Ross found him, and took him back to Home Farm. Long story short, Debbie Dingle has no intention of letting Joseph off the hook this easily and hatches a plan to set up him up for a bogus drug rap.

Sadly the plan goes all kinds of wrong, leading Debbie to resort to Plan B where she ends up making a deal with the drug dealer to give Joseph a lesson that he’ll never forget. What could go wrong, right?

Well, Emmerdale spoilers tease that a series of unplanned events takes place that leads to an awful occurrence that will leave the residents of the Dales traumatized, possibly forever.

In a case of mistaken identity, the drug dealer strikes out at who he believes is Joseph, throwing acid in the innocent person’s face.

Horribly, Ross is the victim of the acid attack that takes place next week, and he’s left writhing in pain at the scene. How will this tragic story evolve and end?

Acid attacks have become a troubling trend especially in the UK, and it will be riveting drama to watch as Emmerdale tackles this contemporary and distressing issue.
