Emmerdale Spoilers: Adam Barton’s Dramatic Soap Exit

Emmerdale delivered a bombshell, soap-tastic kiss-off this week with the action-packed exit of fan fave Adam Barton, played by Adam Thomas.

Just as Adam was set to take the blame for his mom Moira Dingle (Natalie J. Robb) killing the evil nurse Emma Barton, all heck broke loose.

Everyone knew the handsome lad was leaving the Dales, but boy was his exit one for the record books. He was all set to take the rap for a murder he didn’t commit when he was able to make a spectacular break for freedom after his prison van was held up, but in the end managed a big old group hug with his loved ones before going on the run abroad. Whew, that just about covers all the soapy cliffhanger options, doesn’t it?

And believe me when I say that fans of the beloved ITV sudser loved and appreciated every single second of the blockbuster action!

“Aaron and Adam are making me emotional #Emmerdale,” “I will son” omg cain to Adam ?,” “robert helping aaron i love soulmates,” were just some of the reactions on Twitter.

So who were the masked desperados that allowed Adam to make a break for it? Cain (Jeff Hordley) and Aaron (Danny Miller) came to the rescue, bandito-style, with a bit in assistance from Robert Sugden (Ryan Hawley).

In fact if there was a silver lining to Adam’s departure, it was the specter of having RobRon get back together in the New Year.

The 29-year old Thomas made an immediate impact on thrilled viewers since coming on the scene in 2009. But he’s sure to be busy in 2018 as he and wife Caroline Daly are expecting the birth of their second child.

Adam’s rakish charm will be missed in the village for sure. Will he back? Well, he isn’t dead, and he’s not really a murderer, so anything is possible, right?
