EastEnders Spoilers: Keegan’s Dad Arrives In Walford And Stirs Up Major Drama

Walford best batten down the hatches, because another extended Taylor family member is set to descend upon the good, unsuspecting townsfolk. Expect a hailstorm of trouble to come along with him!

Who is that handsome man whose van breaks down and then ambles into the Arches to get it fixed? None other than Mitch, Keegan’s (Zack Morris) dad. And his van isn’t the only thing that’s broke.

Roger Griffiths will be introduced in the short-term BBC One soap role starting March 12. We know that Mitch and Karen Taylor (Lorraine Stanley) have been acquainted in the past, but they can’t be all that close now since we’ve haven’t heard a (good) word about him in all her time on the Square.

So what brings the long-lost dad to town? Show exec’s are keeping a tight lid on the juicy details, but Mitch’s pop-up is rumored to bring tons of drama to the tight-knit clan. I am so looking forward to seeing brilliant actress Stanley bring down the house as she confronts her latest calamity!

At first it will seem as if Mitch arrives as if out of the blue, but his appearance is soon outed as a planned rendezvous.

Look for the family to be taken aback by Mitch’s appearance, including Karen’s older kids Bernadette (Clair Norris) and Keanu (Danny Walters).

Griffiths’ brings an impressive resume to the soap, having appeared in Casualty, Holby City, Family Affairs and once prior in EastEnders.

In a recent interview the accomplished actor was careful not to let any clues slip about what his character is up to, but he enthused about his soapy co-stars. According to the Metro, the actor said that he, “had a brilliant time and the actors who make up the Taylor family made me feel at home instantly. It was love at first sight.”  

If EastEnders viewers take a liking to Mitch, might we see him again? How fun would it be to see loud and proud Karen get another sparring partner?!
