EastEnders Spoilers: Ian Beale Wants Mel Owen Back – Pursues Former Flame

I want world peace. And if wishes were horses, beggars would ride, someone should tell this to Ian Beale (Adam Woodyatt) already on EastEnders! Apparently the cheeky man wants to get back together with his ex, and he’s got no shame in his game about it.

Maybe the lovely lady in question, Mel Owen (Tamzin Outhwaite), can remind him about his AWOL wife, Jane (Laurie Brett)?  Has he forgotten about her already?

Or maybe he’s gotten his five marriages confused in his mind, including one to Mel? Run, Mel, run!

Of course Jane leaving Ian high and dry wasn’t her idea. After getting on bad guy Max Branning’s (Jake Wood) last nerve, poor Jane felt she had no other ambulatory option than to exit Walford, stat. Not even a forwarding address did Ian get!

The Ian and Mel connection dates back to the end of the last century on EastEnders, when they married. It wasn’t meant to last, as both deceived the other in their own ways. After saying, “I do,” Mel promptly dumped Ian at the wedding reception. Boom!

So, what can Ian be thinking, the second time’s the charm? Mel’s not so sure. When sneaky Ian plans a rendezvous with the blond bombshell pretending to want to do her a favor, he has an ulterior motive.

During the meet up Ian’s true agenda emerges as he waxes on about how much he has changed in the intervening years. Not enough for Mel however, who is left gobsmacked when Ian proposes that the two of them give things another go.

In the coming days the drama will intensify for intrepid Ian. What will Kathy Beale (Gillian Taylforth) have to say about Ian’s behavior once she gets wind of his intentions?

And what will Ian do when he discovers that EastEnders’ Jack Branning (Scott Maslen) may be itching to be a part of Mel’s life, too?
