In the new Christmas Day episode of EastEnders, preview pictures show Kat defending Hayley against her mother Bev, without knowing the truth about her baby Cherry.

According to spoilers for EastEnders, fearful about the fact that her secret will soon be exposed, Hayley asks her mother if she will take her and the baby in, but since they are not in good terms, things soon get heated between them.

Kat overhears the commotion and stands up for the younger Slater, not knowing the reason why Bev is being so irrational to Hayley. Little did she know that things will soon get worse when she finds out the truth about Hayley and Alfie’s betrayal.

The BBC soap has already teased the events’ bombshell, and things could get seriously worse for Alfie as he will be “left for dead.”

In a new trailer previewed for the next episode, Kat could be seen holding a lead pipe after apparently finding out the truth that her husband Alfie was the father of Hayley’s baby Cherry.

Flaming in anger, Kat will be found to be screaming in the street towards Alfie after smashing up a car, she shouted: “I will do time for you.”

Shane Richie, who plays Alfie, teases, “Obviously I can’t tell you what it is, but even when I read it, I went: ‘Oh, you can’t do that, you can’t do that, we’ve tipped it over the edge now’.”

“It’s just a real, massive cliffhanger on Christmas Day,” he added.
