EastEnders Spoilers 2018 Preview: Shocking Returns, Break-ups, Devastating Exits, And More!

EastEnders left us with more questions than answers as 2017 came to an intense climax in Walford. What bombshells await the Albert Square residents as 2018 continues to unfold in dramatic fashion?

First off, we’ve seen Aiden’s (Patrick Bergin) big  job finally go down, but not as planned. Or did it? Mick may have been shot at the Arches, but could it have been a setup all along?

And how will Linda Carter (Kellie Bright) react if both Mick and their son Johnny (Ted Reilly) make dramatic and unexpected exits from this world?

What can we say about scoundrel Max (Jake Wood) that hasn’t already been said? In 2017 he launched an epic revenge plot to take over the Square, and failed. He then tried to kill himself but instead his two lovely daughters became collateral damage. What if anything can possibly be left for this black hole of a man? Believe it or not showrunners have hinted that in 2018 a certain lady may be able to save Max’s soul. He has one?

Speaking of Max, the one night stand he had with Stacey (Lacey Turner) looks set to terminate her marriage. How will she and her kids cope in the New Year?

Whitney (Shona McGarty) will get an unannounced visitor when younger half-sis Tiffany (Maisie Smith) arrives uninvited. Why the sudden interest in camping out in Walford? Is Tiffany running from something or someone, or will the reason for her arrival become apparent in ahem, nine months? Then things really get complicated for Whitney when absentee boyfriend Woody (Lee Ryan) returns.

More newbies arrive when Masood (Nitin Ganatra) brings his aunt Mariam (Indira Joshi) and uncle Arshad (Madhav Sharma) to the Square. They are good and kind-hearted people, but are dismayed to find Walford to be a tad scary.

And, just as Ben (Harry Reid) says goodbye to Walford, Mel Owen (Tamzin Outhwaite) says hello; are their comings and goings somehow diabolically connected?

Finally, when Kat (Jessie Wallace) comes home with some beloved relatives, many will be disappointed to find it isn’t her husband and kids; what gives on the home front for Kat?
