EastEnders Danielle Harold Reprises Lola Pearce Role, Rukku Nahar Joins Soap

After three years of being off screen, Lola Pearce will appear once again in EastEnders. The BBC soap announced that Danielle Harold will reprise her role as Lola in 2019. She played the role between 2011 and 2015. The confirmation of her return was made a few months after she said that Lola is ready to make a comeback during the time when Billy Mitchell needed support.

Senior executive producer Kate Oates commented that she admired Lola and teased that “viewers will have a lot to look forward to with her return.”

During an interview, Danielle expressed her excitement for her return to EastEnders next year. “EastEnders was my first acting job and I have so many happy memories from my time there. I can’t believe it’s been over three years since I left and I can’t wait to get back and find out what Lola has been up to,” she added.

Upon her return, viewers will see a different side of Lola. The once-troubled teen has matured significantly and is now a loving and protective mother to a beautiful little girl named Lexi.

Viewers may remember that Lola left Jay and left town alone when they were supposed to leave Albert Square together. While she was away, it was revealed that she got together with Dexter Hartman. Her return will surely be a shocker for Jay Brown. What will he do once he sees his old flame return to Walford? How will Billy about her coming home?

Meanwhile, there will be a new addition to EastEnders, and it won’t be just one but two new characters in the New Year. Priay Davdra and former Hollyoaks star will make their debut in the soap as Iqra and Habiba Ahmed. They will be introduced as siblings and granddaughters of Mariam and Arshad. The pair will strip up trouble in Walford and fans have to find out their real motives for moving to the Square.
