Does General Hospital Ava Deserve All This Fan Sympathy?

More and more General Hospital fans on social media are feeling sorry for Ava (Maura West). A lot of fans are questioning why the sympathy. When has Ava had sympathy for anyone? Did Ava ever sympathize with Kiki?

Ava Slept With Kiki’s Boyfriend

Where was General Hospital’s Ava’s sympathy for Kiki (Hayley Erin) when she slept with Morgan (Bryan Craig)? Ava looks out for number one, she always has. It didn’t matter that Kiki was with Morgan. It didn’t matter when Ava lied about her identity. It didn’t matter when Ava changed Morgan’s medication. Ava has never put Kiki above her wants.

Ava Used Sonny’s Paralysis

Ava used Sonny’s (Maurice Benard) paralysis to get Avery (Ava and Grace Scarola). Ava goated Sonny time and again over his paralysis. Ava tried to move guns through Port Charles. Ava used her own brother’s wedding as a cover. Ava worked with the man who shot Sonny even.

Ava Wanted Bensch Dead

When this lawsuit first started Ava wanted Bensch (James DePaiva) killed. Julian (William DeVry) and Ava spoke about mob connections taking care of him. Ava has been bound and determined to make Bensch pay. General Hospital’s Franco (Roger Howarth) even vowed to help Ava deal with Bensch if he didn’t. Now Ava is helping Bensch’s case again her daughter. A case that she ordered Scott (Kin Shriner) to tank. Ava wants the truth in open court.

Ava Only Cares About Herself

General Hospital’s Ava has been suspicious for months. Ava never fully believed Kiki or Griffin (Matt Cohen). Ava has pushed Griffin away time and again. Somehow, this is someone else’s fault. Ava’s Nurse’s Ball stunt didn’t cause it. Ava’s constant degradation of Griffin didn’t cause it.

Kiki’s hurt and humiliation are to blame. Griffin’s disappointment is to blame. Ava has done nothing wrong in her mind. Technically, Ava and Griffin broke up the night it happened. Conveniently, Ava forgets her part in any of this.

Ava Is Self Centered

Ava honestly believes the world owes her something. Ava had an affair with Silas (Michael Easton) years ago. Ava kept Silas daughter from him for 20 years. Ava claimed Franco was Kiki’s father to get money. Ava wanted Quartermaine money and influence. Ava wanted the mob ties. Ava wanted Kiki’s boyfriend. Ava doesn’t want to pay for anything. Ava murdered Connie for less.

How is it that General Hospital fans can overlook Ava’s crimes? Has Ava once tried to change? Has Ava every thought of anyone else? Will Ava ever put someone else first? It hasn’t happened since Ava arrived in Port Charles. Ava is not likely to change any time soon.
