Days Of Our Lives Spoilers: Will Kayla’s Deal With The Devil Cost Her Steve?

Days of Our Lives spoilers indicate Kayla [Mary Beth Evans] wants Steve Johnson [Stephen Nichols] to have his sight back at any cost.  Kayla has literally made a deal with the devil to get Steve into the bionic eye trials, but will that cost her Steve?

Steve Wants Nothing To Do With Stefan

Steve hates Stefan [Tyler Christopher] for what he did to Abigail Deveraux [Marci Miller].  Stefan technically raped his niece and stands to make a fortune if this bionic eye is successful.  Stefan wants to sell this bionic eye to the government and Steve is a member of the ISA.

Steve has the option of waiting until the government owns the technology and starts their own trials, his ISA connections could be used to get him chosen for this.  Kayla doesn’t want to wait, she wants the technology for the hospital so she can insure Steve being chosen.

Kayla is having a much worse time than Steve when it comes to dealing with his blindness.  Steve would rather accept being blind than to have any help from a DiMera.  Who could blame him, after all that Stefano did to Kayla’s family, no one in their right mind would trust them.

Kayla Loves Steve And Wants To  Help

Most of us would do anything for someone we love, but that doesn’t mean they will accept help from someone they hate. Kayla knows exactly how Steve feels and so does Stefan.  Stefan is also a Dimera and Vivian’s son, why would Kayla expect him to stick to his word?

Stefan has one goal and that is to take Kate down.  Kayla has nothing in writing about this bionic eye and no recourse if Stefan backs out.  Steve and Kayla have had a long but rocky relationship but she knows he will be furious over her involvement with Stefan.

Kayla is lying to Steve every day and he senses that something is off with her.  With Stefan’s actions yesterday, surely Kayla knows she cannot trust him, he practically told Steve that Kayla disagrees with his choices. Also, with Stephen Nichols leaving the show, Steve has to be written out somehow.

Steve Could Find Similar Technology In Another Country

If Steve finds out what Kayla is up to on Days Of Our Lives, he could decide to seek help somewhere elsewhere not only for his sight but for distance from Kayla.  Steve, like anyone else hates to be lied to even for a good cause.  Kayla hurting someone else, even Kate, is not going to go over well with him at all.  Steve would rather kill Stefan than to accept his help, coerced or not.

What If Steve Doesn’t Survive

According to Days Of Our Lives spoilers, Kayla’s choice to work with Stefan could have dire consequences on her marriage and on Steve sight.  Steve could agree to do this because of Kayla efforts and not survive, the trial.

One has to remember that this is a untested product and anything could go wrong.  If Steve agrees to try this and it fails, he could be setting himself up for a lifetime of blindness or death even.  At this point, Steve on has one eye, unless the bionic eye can replace the eye he lost years ago, he could be losing any opportunity for help in the future with any kind of advances as well.

We can be sure that Steve is going to be VERY upset over Kayla choices and no one could blame him.  The fallout from this on could change Kayla and Steve’s lives forever and not in a good way.
