Days of Our Lives Spoilers: Week of September 17-21 – Hattie Brings Chaos as She Fills in for Marlena, Berates Belle and Sami

“Days of Our Lives” spoilers for the week of September 17-21 tease that Marlena’s (Deidre Hall) loved ones will be elated. After Kayla (Mary Beth Evans) pulled the plug, they all figured the end was near. Marlena’s family members huddled together to shed tears and await her death. That’s why they’ll all be blown away when Marlena opens her eyes and ultimately sits up.

Marlena’s speedy recovery will leave everyone in the room stunned. They’ll feel like they finally got that miracle they’ve been waiting on. However, there’s a big secret and only three people are in on it. John (Drake Hogestyn), Roman (Josh Taylor) and Kayla are all part of this crazy plot. “Days of Our Lives” spoilers say the woman in that hospital bed will actually be Hattie (Deidre Hall)!

The real Marlena will be safely tucked away on another floor. She’ll still be comatose and hooked to a ventilator, but John just wanted to buy some time. He couldn’t get it any other way, so it seems Roman helped Hattie escape from prison. She was eventually switched with Marlena, which is why Kayla had to be in on the DOOL scheme, too.

Kayla will feel a little guilty about bending the rules, but it’s not like she hasn’t done it before. In fact, Kayla’s been breaking laws right and left lately. If she can hand over medical records to shady Stefan (Tyler Christopher), there’s no reason she can’t forget the rulebook to save a good friend.

Marlena will be hidden from the rest of the hospital staff as John awaits positive updates. In the meantime, he’ll have to deal with Hattie and her antics. “Days” fans know Marlena and Hattie look exactly alike, but their personalities are far from the same. Hattie will manage to fool everyone, but they’ll definitely think she’s exhibiting some strange behavior.

For starters, “Marlena” will blast Sami (Alison Sweeney) for shooting her. When Sami exclaims that her mom’s alive, Hattie will suggest that it’s no thanks to her trigger-happy daughter. She’ll throw her hand up and wave Sami away. “Marlena” will contend that they should get Sami out of there before she tries to finish her off.

Belle (Martha Madison) won’t exactly be welcome in that hospital room either. After she makes a flower delivery, Hattie will ask if Belle got the “sorry I almost killed my mom” bouquet. Belle will look confused since she was just following Marlena’s instructions. She’ll point that out, but Hattie will think Belle should’ve ignored the DNR and fought for her mother’s life.
