Kayla asks about Tripp (Lucas Adams) and her; Steve wants to fix this before coming home. Kayla is very upset, Tripp sees her and says he thought Steve was away on business. Tripp asks Kayla if Steve isn’t coming back. Kayla asks how long Tripp has been listening in on her call. He says long enough to see how upset she is. Kayla tells Tripp that Steve was supposed to have checked in with him.
Tripp has been calling and texting, but Steve hasn’t replied. Kayla agrees to tell Tripp, but it cannot go any further than the two of them. Tripp wants to know why Kayla didn’t tell him about this situation sooner. Kayla tells Tripp this whole thing is her fault. Kayla tells Tripp that she is the one who got the eye from Stefan (Tyler Christopher). Tripp asks why the ISA doesn’t bust Stefan for the hack, Kayla tells him there is no evidence. Tripp asks why Steve has to be the one to leave town. Kayla thinks Steve can’t forgive her for what she did.
Tripp tells Kayla that this isn’t her fault. Kayla says Steve didn’t find out anything until the ISA were already knocking on the door. Tripp tells Kayla Steve will be back, and they will work it out like they always do. Kayla wonders if Steve even wants to come back. Tripp tries to comfort Kayla and assure her that Steve will be back. Steve and Kayla always come out stronger, and Steve knows she would never hurt him on purpose. Kayla apologizes for laying this all on Tripp. Tripp tells Kayla they are family and he is there for her.
Days of Our Lives’ Eric (Greg Vaughan) is thrilled that Maggie (Suzanne Rogers) has agreed to let him raise Holly (Harlow and Scarlett Mallory). Eric talks about how much Holly reminds him of Nicole (Ex-Arianne Zucker) already. Eric thinks Sarah (Lindsey Godfrey) for siding with him and helping to convince Maggie to let him have her. Eric needs to find another place to live because he can’t raise Holly over a pub. Sarah offers to help make a list of everything Eric will need for Holly.
Will (Chandler Massey) comes in and tells Eric and Sarah about Sonny’s (Freddie Smith) wedding. Will tells Eric that Sonny is marrying Leo (Greg Rikaart) to protect him and the family. Sarah says it sounds like blackmail, Will agrees. Will tells Eric and Sarah about the apartment he needs to get someone to take over the lease on because he can’t get out of it. Will calls the landlord to arrange the lease transfer. Eric and Sarah go to check out the apartment, and Will stays at the pub. Eric loves the apartment and talks about the plans he and Nicole had made. Sarah is sorry that Eric lost that chance, Eric tells her Brady took it from him. Sarah gets a call about her job; her boss threatens to replace her.
Eric asks Sarah if she wants to go back to Chicago. Eric doesn’t understand how Rex could look at another woman. Eric asks Sarah what she is going to do. Sarah didn’t expect to like being in Salem so much, but maybe it’s time for her to go. Eric tells Sarah she has a lot of reasons to think about staying in Salem. Eric tells Sarah that Holly will miss her. Maggie joins them, and Eric tells her about the apartment. Maggie interrupts Eric and tells him they need to talk. Maggie tells Eric there is a letter that Nicole left for Chloe (Nadia Bjorlin).

Days of Our Lives’ Maggie reads the letter that Nicole sent to Chloe. Chloe tells Maggie that she will let Maggie be a big part of Holly’s life. Maggie tells Chloe she gave Eric her blessing because Nicole wanted him to raise Holly. Chloe says this letter says otherwise. Maggie tells them she planned to raise Holly but was convinced that Eric was Nicole’s choice. Brady (Eric Martsolf) tells Maggie this is about Holly and not about Eric. Maggie has had doubts about Eric raising Holly.
Maggie tells Brady and Nicole that Sarah convinced her that Holly and Eric could heal each other. Chloe wants Maggie to support her in adopting Holly. Maggie says they all want what is best for Holly and Nicole made her wishes clear in this letter. Chloe swears to raise Holly and Parker (Christian Ganiere) as brother and sister. Maggie hugs Brady; he says she’s doing the right thing. Maggie asks why Brady is so supportive of Holly going to Chloe. Maggie accuses Brady of wanting to hurt Eric. Brady tells Maggie that Eric won’t let the past go, Maggie says it isn’t that one-sided.
Brady says he has tried to make things right, but Eric won’t let things go. Maggie goes to tell Eric about the letter than Nicole sent Chloe. Maggie says she should be the one to break the news to Eric. Chloe says she has to manage childcare because it’s going to be hard dealing with a two-year-old. Brady says a lot of people in town love Holly and will help with her. Brady says Chloe has him as well. Chloe thinks Eric will see that Holly being raised with Parker is the best case scenario.
Days of Our Lives’ Victor (John Aniston) storms into the mansion and interrupts the wedding. Victor asks what the hell is going on and accuses them all of losing their minds. Sonny wanted to be with Will, that’s why he brought him home. Victor can’t believe that Sonny is marrying the bastard that tried to destroy their company. Victor demands answers and throws Sheila (Tione “T-Boz” Watkins) and Leo out of the room. Sheila wants to leave, but Leo won’t let her. Leo promises Sheila that Sonny will give her a big tip.
Sonny tells Victor he has no choice but to marry Leo. Victor agrees to the wedding and tells them to get it over with, Sheila continues. Sheila can’t keep the vow cards straight, but Leo says I do, followed by Sonny’s I do. They exchange rings, and Sheila wraps up the ceremony. Leo grabs Sonny and kisses him. Justin threatens Leo who demands Sonny tip, Sheila. Victor tells Sheila to get out of his house now. Leo goes downstairs to get champagne.
Will is drinking at the pub, Sonny wants to see him, but Victor tells him no. Victor says they have to deal with Leo and Sonny as to do everything he can to keep Leo happy. Victor tells Sonny to stay away from Will. Sheila goes to the pub and tells will about Sonny and Leo’s wedding.
