Days of Our Lives spoilers indicate John Black was a little shocked at Marlena’s guest list for the wedding, not that you can blame him, 300 people is a huge guest list and more appropriate for a first wedding.

Marlena Wants a Big Wedding

Marlena says she’s distracted but does Salem even have 300 residents? Honestly who are we inviting all of her former patients, past and present hospital staff and the contents of every mental hospital around?

Wedding Number 5?

This is what their fifth wedding, third legal one, for Heaven’s sake what is wrong with a small intimate wedding? Everyone knows you love each other, this is not something new, so why in the world have such a big affair at this late date. Two years ago, to mark 30 years together, would have made sense but 32 years, not so much.

A big wedding is just a great deal of work for a couple that have wanted nothing more than to remarry for years now. Fans don’t need the equivalent of Bo and Hope’s first wedding, all they really need is just a legal binding ceremony.

Bigger Is Not Always Better

The bigger the wedding the more chance of something going wrong. This is common is soap weddings and has been for years, why risk it? With John and Marlena’s luck with wedding, they would be better off to find the first Justice of the Peace and tie that knot before anyone knows it.

Hope had the right idea with Rafe and the Smith Island ceremony. Rolf could come back and turn John into Father John or Hope into Princess Gina and this wedding might never take place.

Family Feud All Around

In the midst of planning this wedding we have Eric and Brady barely speaking, Sami who is rumored to be pregnant with Rafe’s child, Jack coming back from the dead and Nicole headed back to town. Can you imagine if all of this happens at one time? Talk about family chaos, this would be a mess.

Honestly, soap fans have to wonder why in the world John and Marlena aren’t skipping town to tie the knot and staying on permanent vacation.

Hopefully, all goes well and the wedding is pulled off without a hitch. Good Luck John and Marlena, you are going to need it.
