Days of Our Lives Spoilers: Halloween Brings Salem Spookiness – Shocking DOOL Preview Features Tricks and Treats for Fans

“Days of Our Lives” spoilers for the week of October 29-November 2 tease that things will get downright creepy in Salem! Some spooky shockers are brewing and they’ll take place in a crazy “Days” nightmare. Viewers will want to check out the twists and turns ahead.

Along with all the usual action this week, “Days” will throw in a fun Halloween special for fans. They did one last year and it was a big hit on social media. DOOL watchers were thrilled with all the chaos and humor, so the show opted to go for round two.

Since Halloween falls on weekday, they can take advantage of this opportunity and do something totally off the wall. On October 31, “Days of Our Lives” spoilers say we’ll see some stunning returns and eerie bombshells. Hattie (Deidre Hall) will have a horrifying dream, so it seems most of the drama will be contained in it.

Judith Chapman will reprise her role as Anjelica Deveraux, but she’ll only be around in ghostly form. Thaao Penghlis will also pop back up as Andre DiMera and that’ll certainly bring some memorable moments. Halloween will serve as an alternate reality, so expect a paternity change for Abigail’s (Marci Miller) baby. It looks like Andre will be the “baby daddy,” which will indeed be a nightmare!

“Days of Our Lives” fans will see Penghlis playing an infant, so the show’s going to get silly. After Nicole’s (Arianne Zucker) death and all the sadness it brought, it’s nice that they’ll lighten it up a bit. DOOL’s head writer, Ron Carlivati, discussed his vision for this episode in the latest issue of Soap Opera Digest. He actually ditched his first idea in favor of one that worked a little better.

Carlivati explained, “Originally, I had wanted to do a parody of The Exorcist because Marlena (Deidre Hall) has been possessed…” He suggested that it became too complicated, so they scrapped it and went with Rosemary’s Baby instead. This parody turned out to be the perfect fit since Abigail’s pregnant and they could pull some great story elements from that.

“Days of Our Lives” viewers can expect a Princess Gina (Kristina Alfonso) sighting as well. There’ll even be some EJ (last played by James Scott) turmoil in the mix. Finally, DOOL will wrap up the horror show with a curveball. “The final twist at the end of the episode will have a major impact on John (Drake Hogestyn) and Marlena’s current storyline,” Carlivati teased.
