Days of Our Lives Spoilers: Belle Wants To Pull The Plug On Marlena

Days of Our Lives spoilers indicate that Belle (Martha Madison) might have given up hope. That’s why she is now suggesting to John (Drake Hogestyn) that they should pull the plug on Marlena (Deidre Hall) at the hospital, after she was shot during her own wedding day. But will anyone really have the heart to do it in the end?

Actor Drake Hogestyn, who plays John on the show, tells Soaps in Depth in the interview, “The unbelievable is happening. That was my take on about three solid weeks of filming this. It’s a really heavy place to be in. Marlena is in a deep coma, which is irreversible. All the experts have come in and said,’ There’s nothing we can do. We can keep her on life support… keep her on the ventilator. But that is it. It’s the end.’ John’s like, ‘What do you mean this is the end?’ He refuses to give up hope.”

Belle, meanwhile is torn between what her mother would have wanted while her brother Eric is urging her to think about their mother’s wishes.

Drake adds, “This is a very provocative story and a very timely story. There was just a situation that happened in Missouri about a kid, who they were going to pull the plug on, when all of a sudden, he woke up. He opened his eyes and was like, ‘Hey! What are you doing?’”
