Days of Our Lives RECAP Wednesday, October 24: Chad Wants Abby Committed; Abby Turns To Stefan For Help

Days of Our Lives’ Eli (Lamon Archey) stop by Doug’s Place and asks Julie (Susan Seaforth Hayes) to give Sheila (Tione “T-Boz” Watkins) a job. Julie had hoped Eli was distancing himself from Gabi. Eli defends Gabi, but Julie doesn’t agree and says she is bad news. Julie doesn’t want to hire Sheila because of her time in prison. Julie doesn’t like that Eli is dealing with another ex-con. Eli tells Julie it was his fault Sheila went to prison. Julie agrees to Sheila a chance. Julie wants Sheila to be a dishwasher. Sheila could have stayed in prison if she wants to be a dishwasher.

Abe Hires Sheila

Days of Our Lives’ Lani (Sal Stowers) is thinking about seeing Eli and Sheila together. Abe (James Reynolds) comes in and asks where Eli is, Sheila has parked Eli’s car in Abe’s spot. Sheila was bringing Eli’s car back, and Abe’s spot was the only available one. Abe threatens to have Eli’s car towed since Sheila is driving it. Lani and Sheila convince Abe not to tow Eli’s car. Abe tells Sheila to find a job; she’s not qualified for any job except his assistant.

Abe tells Sheila to move the car or else. Sheila apologizes to Lani for everything she said when they met. Sheila stays to talk to Eli. Lani questions Sheila about staying with Eli. Sheila says she’s moving as soon as she gets a job. Lani thanks Abe for not towing Eli’s car and defends Sheila to Abe. Lani asks Abe to hire Sheila, and he refuses. Lani asks Abe why he can’t give Sheila a chance since he does everyone else. Abe offers Sheila the executive assistant job, she accepts.

Gabi Catches J.J. In Her Purse

Days of Our Lives’ J.J. (Casey Moss) see Gabi’s (Camila Banus) purse and recalls Abby (Marci Miller) saying Gabi drugged her. Gabi catches him as he begins to look in her purse. J.J. tells Gabi that Chad (Billy Flynn) asked him to stop by to check on her. J.J. says he can explain being in her purse. J.J. admits to looking for evidence. J.J. doesn’t want to believe Gabi would do this. Gabi asks if J.J. thinks she is responsible for doing this. Gabi tells J.J. she saved his life. Gabi tells J.J. that Kate (Lauren Koslow) has seen Gabby (Marci Miller) too.

J.J. loves Abby and has to help her. Gabi tells J.J. he used to love her, but now he wants to take her down to save Abby. Abby walks in and tells Gabi to stop pretending like she gives a damn about her. Abby demands to know how Gabi did this. Abby tells Gabi she has Kate helping her. Gabi accuses Abby of being crazy. Gabi asks Abby if she would blame her if she did this. Abby asks if Gabi wants her to pay. Gabi swears that she didn’t do this. Gabi says everyone will know about the DID being back this time.

J.J. wants to take Abby to the hospital. Abby says she’s leaving and taking Thomas (Asher Morrissette) with her. Chad refuses to let Abby take Thomas with her. J.J. goes with Abby to tell Thomas Goodnight. Gabi tells Chad he needs to do something now. Chad tells Jennifer he’s going to have Abby committed, Abby sneaks out of the house after overhearing this. Jennifer says she will find Kayla and join him at the hospital. J.J. comes downstairs, and Abby isn’t there.

Abby And Jennifer Confront Kate

Days of Our Lives’ Kate comes to the hospital, and Abby confronts her for making up the story about her. Abby tells Kate she knows she’s lying. Kate swears that Gabi would never drug Abby. Abby tells Kate she is lying and knows it. Jennifer (Melissa Reeves) interrupts and tells Abby to calm down. Kate says the woman that shoved her is the woman that locked her in the room. Kate asks Abby why she would lie about it. Abby says she will calm down when Kate stops lying.

Abby tells Kate that she wants Gabi and Chad together, Kate disagrees. Abby says Kate was fine until she killed Andre (Thaao Penghlis). Abby asks how Gabi got her to go along with this. Abby tells Kate that Gabi must have something on her because she would never hurt Chad willingly. Abby runs out of the hospital in search of answers. Kate tells Chad she’s sorry. Jennifer apologizes to Kate. Kate says Abby is a lunatic like Laura (Jaime Lyn Bauer). Kate tells Jennifer to get Abby help before she kills someone again.

Stefan Dreams Of Gabby

Days of Our Lives’ Stefan (Tyler Christopher) dreams that Gabby is back. Stefan tells Gabby how much he misses her. Gabby tells Stefan that Abby is too strong for her. Gabby tells Stefan they made a baby and they need to be together. Gabby says Stefan is her only light, but she thinks he may have given up on her already. Stefan loves Gabby more than anyone he has ever loved in his life.

Gabby needs Stefan to help her become the dominant personality. Stefan tells Gabby he was advised to back off until the baby is born. Gabby doesn’t want to leave Stefan and accusing him of abandoning her and the baby. Stefan tells Gabby to hold onto him; they have to handle this carefully. Gabby tells Stefan that only his love can save her. Stefan vows never to lose Gabby again. Stefan wakes up from his dream and Gabby isn’t there. Abby goes to Stefan and desperately needs his help.
