Julie asks where the salt and pepper shakers are and the bowls for cranberry sauce. Julie begins to give Sheila orders; Sheila says she doesn’t work for Julie and demands she treat her with respect or she can leave. Julie thinks Sheila is there for the dishwasher job. Sheila tells Julie she is the executive assistant to the mayor. Sheila tells Julie to stop looking at her like she can’t have a job that important. Eli (Lamon Archey) arrives and asks what is going on with Julie and Sheila.
Abe (James Reynolds) also tells Julie that Sheila works for him and it’s working out well. Sheila tells Abe she lost the ticket for his shoes. Sheila offers to buy him a new pair, but he doesn’t want that. Everyone is seated at dinner and saying what they are thankful for this year. Doug says the blessing before dinner. Sheila has been helping with the dishes, but Doug and Julie’s singing is too much for her. Sheila wants Eli to take her home; he can come back if Lani (Sal Stowers) does.
Days of Our Lives’ Valerie (Vanessa Williams) tells Eli about her job offer in D.C. Eli is shocked that she’s going back but doesn’t blame her. Valerie asks Eli why Abe can’t see this the way he does. Valerie and Eli join everyone at Doug’s Place for dinner. Abe and Valerie are clearing the table. Abe apologizes to Valerie and tells her he is proud of her. Abe tells Valerie that Sheila and Lani both told him he is selfish. Abe tells Valerie they need to try this long-distance thing and make it work.
Days of Our Lives’ Abe and Lani video chat with Theo (ex- Kyler Pettis), Brandon (ex-Matt Cedeno), and Celeste (ex- Beverly Todd). Brandon is still in shock over Nicole’s (Arianne Zucker) death. Abe tells Lani he doesn’t understand what Valerie doesn’t want more for herself. Valerie should want a home and family, Lani says the same applies to him. Abe asks if he’s supposed to give up his job and move with Valerie.

Days of Our Lives’ Eric (Greg Vaughan) is at the pub when Sarah (Lindsey Godfrey) arrives. Sarah tells Eric she remembers accosting the couple about relationships. Eric knows Roman’s (Josh Taylor) hangover cure which Sarah says she will need to survive Thanksgiving. Sarah invites Eric to go to dinner at her mom’s instead of eating alone at the pub. Eric gives Sarah the hangover cure.
Sarah tells him to tell her mom she loves her if she doesn’t survive this. Sarah can’t believe she drank that to survive a holiday with Victor (John Aniston). Sarah tells Eric they should make this great for Holly. Eric agrees to go and takes Victor a bottle of Scotch. Eric and Sarah arrive, Victor doesn’t like that Eric is there. Victor brings up Daniel (ex- Shawn Christian) and Nicole and refuses to let Eric eat there. Eric says he’s leaving, as does Justin(Wally Kurth) and Adrienne (Judy Evans).
Eric is going to check on Holly and then leave. Maggie (Susanne Rogers) goes to check on dinner, although she doesn’t know who is going to be there. Sarah tells Victor what she thinks of him and how Maggie should leave him. Victor gets choked, and Sarah has to save him. Maggie is thankful that Sarah was there. Victor apologizes for chasing everyone away. Victor apologizes and hopes it’s not too late to make things right. Victor invites Eric to stay for dinner; Maggie asks her to stay as well. Holly comes downstairs and joins them. Victor sends the plane to get Sonny and tells Maggie.
Days of Our Lives’ Adrienne and Justin pretend she’s upset and not eating because Victor won’t tell them where Sonny (Freddie Smith) is. Victor refuses to tell them where Sonny is because Will (Chandler Massey) is selfish and fickle and will break his heart again. Will overhears him ask he arrives with flowers. Victor asks why Will is there, Justin and Adrienne invited him. Victor doesn’t want Will there. Will understands Victor’s feelings and moves to leave. Holly comes downstairs and joins them. Sarah and Eric help Holly make a turkey with her hand. Sarah, Eric, and Holly play together. Sarah and Eric read to Holly and spend time with her together.
Days of Our Lives’ Will calls Sami (Alison Sweeney) to check on her and E.J. (ex-James Scott). Sami asks if Sonny is there, he doesn’t know when he will see Sonny. Justin and Adrienne are in the square. Adrienne wants Justin to threaten the guards to find Sonny. Adrienne tells Justin that Victor will end up alone. Justin and Adrienne eat in the square and invite Will to join them. Justin misses a call from Victor and heads back to the mansion. Justin and Adrienne tell Will he is a part of their family and they love him; they hope Victor has changed his mind about Sonny. Will calls Sonny who walks up behind him and says he’s thankful to have him.
