Days of Our Lives RECAP Wednesday, May 16: Stefan Fires Kate

“Days Of Our Lives” (DOOL) recap for Wednesday, May 16, 2018, reveals Ciara (Victoria Konefal) reviewing her schedule for the month. Ciara tells Trip (Lucas Adams) that she might have time for him, they kiss.

Ciara Wants To Be Friends With Claire Again

Claire (Olivia Rose Keegan) walks in and wants to know if Ciara and Trip can’t wait until she leaves town. Ciara thinks Claire is moving out. Claire tells Ciara and Trip that she is going to visit Theo (Kyler Pettis). Ciara wants to be friends with Claire again, she says maybe after she fixes things with Theo. Claire needs to pick up a package from Abe (James Reynolds) to take to Theo, Ciara sends him headphones as well. Trip and Claire talk, they are still friends. Trip assures Claire that she will be a star, Ciara walks in on them hugging and is visibly jealous.

Will You Marry Me One Last Time?

Days of Our Lives’ Marlena (Deidre Hall) wants to know why John (Drake Hogestyn) wants to get married now. Ever since John and Marlena got engaged, they have had issues, so will she marry him one last time. Marlena teases John about living the single life, but finally says she would marry him every single day if he wants.

Hope and Rafe Make A Good Team

Abe congratulates Hope (Kristian Alfonso) on finding the truth. Hope and Rafe (Galin Gering) make a great team despite their differences. Hope tells Abe that she and Rafe are good as partners, but she doesn’t want to hear about them getting back together. Abe insists Hope go to eat with him and Valerie.

I Suggest You Claim Temporary Insanity

Days of Our Lives’ Justin (Wally Kurth) comes to see Abby (Marci Miller) and Chad (Billy Flynn), he will help all he can. Chad wants to know how Justin is going to keep his wife out of jail. Justin wants Abby to plead temporary insanity, it’s her best defense since there is no witness. Abby tells Chad it was good advice but she is not going to take it. Abby tells Chad that she is going to plead guilty. Chad tells Abby about Gabi being attacked. Chad slips up and says he doesn’t want Abby around Stefan (Tyler Christopher) after what he did to her. Abby wants to know what Stefan did to her. Chad makes Abby promise to stay away from Stefan, he will go get whatever she needs from the mansion. Chad begs Abby to reconsider the insanity plea.

Abby Confronted Andre For Firing You

Rafe has good news for Gabi (Camile Banus), she’s going to be getting out of prison soon. Rafe goes on to tell Gabi that Abby went to confront Andre over firing her. Rafe tells Gabi that Justin is filing the paperwork as they speak. Rafe tells Gabi that Eli still loves her, she can’t trust Eli (Lamon Archey) after all the lies. Gabi can’t get over her best friend killing someone and blaming her.

Stefan Fires Kate

Stefan comes in as Kate (Lauren Koslow) is talking to Stefano’s (Joe Mascolo) picture, no one cared about Vivian (Louise Sorel). Stefan tells Kate that he cared and vows to make her pay. Kate want to know if she was supposed to let Vivian kill her. Stefan mentions he has immunity for kidnapping. Kate wants Stefan to step down from Dimera, he fires her. Stefan threatens to call in the mortgage on the house if Kate doesn’t leave. Kate tells Stefan she will go to the board over him and Vivian working with Andre, he claims he didn’t know about it. Stefan goes on to threaten to kill Kate. Later Chad confronts Stefan at the mansion.

Marlena and John Share Their News

Days of Our Lives’ Abe, Valerie (Vanessa Williams), and Hope come upon John and Marlena who share their good news about remarriage with them. Marlena wants a big wedding. Hope is reminiscing about her and Rafe’s wedding. Claire joins the group in the square. Marlena tells Claire to hurry back for the wedding, she wants to help plan it. Hope leaves after Claire brings up her and Rafe’s wedding. Abe asks Claire about difficulties with Theo. Abe later toasts everlasting love.

Justin Will Files Papers Tomorrow

Days of Our Lives’ Justin goes to see Gabi, he needs her to sign papers. Abby will be charged tomorrow, Justin will file for dismissal of all charges. Later Abby comes to see Gabi.

Rafe Is Advised To Sign The Papers

Days of Our Lives’ Justin warns Rafe that Belle (Martha Madison) is threatening to file default paperwork to annul his marriage. Justin advises Rafe to sign the papers and then fight for Hope.

Trip Wants To Celebrate With Ciara

Ciara and Trip playing a game. Trip asks Ciara if she really asked Eve to cover for Claire. Trip is looking forward to some alone time with Ciara. Trip tells Ciara they haven’t celebrated her becoming the New Face of Bella. He wants to cook her dinner and show her how much she means to him.

Kate’s Story Doesn’t Add Up

Rafe joins Hope at the police station. Rafe tells her she wins and starts to sign the annulment papers. Kate interrupts, Hope tells her the story doesn’t add up.
