Days Of Our Lives RECAP Wednesday, July 4: Will And Sonny Move Leo’s Body

“Days Of Our Lives” (DOOL) recap for Wednesday, July 4, 2018,  Abby (Marci Miller) and Gabi (Camille Banus) meet up in the park.

J.J. Offers Lani Needed Insight

Lani (Sal Stowers) is looking at the baby’s footprints, J.J. (Casey Moss) brings her flowers. Lani thanks J.J. for the flowers, he’s so sorry about the baby. Lani shows J.J. the baby’s footprints and they talk about her playing soccer as a kid. Lani wonders if the baby would have liked soccer.

J.J. sits with Lani and tells her whatever she needs to do is ok. J.J. apologizes for not visiting Lani sooner. J.J. thought Lani and Eli (Lamon Archey) needed some space. J.J. didn’t think Lani would want to see him. Lani tells J.J. that he forgave her and he didn’t cause her to go into labor.

Lani is thankful J.J. was there with her and got her to the hospital. Lani tells J.J. that he did nothing wrong. If anyone is to blame Lani says it’s her. J.J. asks Lani how it could be her fault. Lani thinks she willed the pregnancy to be high risk. Lani tells J.J. she was miserable, she didn’t want Eli’s baby or to lose him. Lani tells J.J. she considered an abortion so she blames herself.

J.J. tells Lani life doesn’t work that way. Lani wishes the baby could have known she wanted him and loved him. J.J. holds Lani as she cries. J.J. tells Lani that you have to forgive yourself and be grateful for the lesson you learned. J.J. tells Lani that you have to let go, she asks how.

J.J. tells Lani the baby was a blessing, not a mistake. J.J. tells Lani the baby will always be with her and she needs to let him live on in her heart. J.J. tells Lani to hold on to how much she loves the baby and give it to another child later. Theresa’s (Jen Lilley) text come through and Lani tells J.J. to call her. Lani tells J.J. that Theresa needs his support and he’s a really great friend.

Lani Discusses The Funeral With Valerie And Abe

Days of Our Lives’ Theo (Kyler Pettis) calls to check on Lani, Abe (James Reynolds) and Valerie (Vanessa Williams) show up as she’s hanging up. Abe and Valerie question the flowers, Lani tells them J.J. and that he was really comforting.

Valerie tells Lani she can probably get out of the hospital tomorrow or the next day. Abe and Valerie bring some things to Lani for the baby’s funeral. Lani tells Valerie and Abe the choice is Eli’s about the blanket but asks her to keep the bear.

Tate’s Custody Hearing Continues

Days of Our Lives’ Theresa texts J.J. for moral support, Brady (Eric Martsolf) and Eve (Kassie DePaiva) come into the court. Eve and Brady want to know what Tate (Colin and Kyle Schroeder) will think when he’s older. Eve tells Theresa she missed her when she was in Mexico.

Theresa tells Eve that she never cared about her and that none of her plights was considered. Brady defends Eve because no one knew where she was. The judge resumes the hearing and Ted (Gilles Marini) calls Maggie (Suzanne Rogers) to the stand. Ted questions Maggie about being Brady’s A.A. sponsor and wants to know the last time he fell off the wagon.

Brady objects to Maggie being questioned. Ted asks if this was the first time, Maggie tells the court no but Brady is sober now. Ted brings up the plan against Eve. Justin (Wally Kurth) objects, the judge shuts the questioning down. Justin asks if Brady is drinking now and about his relationship with Eve.

Maggie says Eve and Bready are wonderful for each other. Maggie is excused and the court takes a recess. Justin thinks Maggie’s testimony has hurt them. Eve wants to bring up Theresa’s past too. Brady decides to counter sue for custody of Tate. Eve and Brady call Chloe to testify that Theresa is unfit.

Will and Sonny Move Leo’s Body

Days of Our Lives’ Sonny (Freddie Smith) and Will (Chandler Massey) have Leo (Greg Rikaart) wrapped up in a rug. Sonny goes to get the car and Paul (Christopher Sean) is at the door asking for Will.

Sonny tells Paul that Will was there but left and they talk about John’s (Drake Hogestyn) evidence being the final nail in Leo’s coffin. Sonny claims to have forgotten his keys and waits for Paul to leave, then goes after the car. Sonny tells Will that he told Paul he left. Sonny can’t believe he killed a guy, Will grabs him and tells him to stop.

Sonny tells Will the stockholders won’t care how Leo died. Will tells Sonny about Maggie coming in and they move the body. Sonny and Will are in the park, they parked the car a mile from the mansion. Will tells Sonny they have to come up with a way to cover their tracks. Will asks if anyone saw Leo at the house, Sonny says no.

Sonny suggests taking the car to the impound yard, Will tells him that will make him look guilty. Will wants to stage an accident with Leo’s car. Sonny thinks the cops will figure out what really happened. Will doesn’t know any other way to protect Sonny.

Will stops Sonny from apologizing again, he wanted to help. Sonny tells Will when Leo grabbed him, all he saw was Ben. Sonny asks Will about his memory and wants to know if he remembers how it felt to love him. Will tells Sonny the memory was like it was yesterday.

Sonny is happy Will is trying to recover his past. Will tells Sonny he should meet up with Paul, they agree to meet back up at 10. Sonny thanks Will who say they will make this go away.

Will Claims Ari Spilled Grape Juice

Days of Our Lives’ Maggie comes into the living room and sees the rug, Will tells her Ari spilled something and he is going to clean it. Maggie gets a cloth and cleaning supplies and wants to do it herself. Will wants to take the rug to the cleaners anyway. Maggie gets a text and tells Will she has to go leaving him with the cleaning supplies. Maggie arrives home and finds Sonny cleaning the mantle.

Will Lies To Paul

Days of Our Lives’ Will tells Paul he was doing some research for a story. Paul wants to go to the pub and get food and watch the fireworks. Will would rather work on his story. Paul understands, he hugs Will and is glad he is ok.
