Days of our Lives RECAP Wednesday, August 1: Kate Stabs Chad In The Back, Copies Strategies For Stefan

Days of Our Lives (DOOL) recap for Wednesday, August 1, 2018, reveals, Eve (Kassie DePaiva) tells Brady (Eric Martsolf) he’s doing the right thing keeping his secret. Eve says it’s best for everyone if Eric (Greg Vaughan) stays in the dark.

Eve Fears Brady Told Eric The Truth

Tate (Colin and Kyle Schroeder) calls Brady. Brady hangs up with Tate. Eve wants to know if Brady is ok he tells her no. Brady says Jennifer (Melissa Reeves) may be the only person who can help him. Eve tells Brady knowing if Victor (John Aniston) is involved won’t change anything. Brady says Eve is the best thing to ever happen to him. Brady says he will always fight for what’s his. Eve doesn’t want to lose Brady, he believes nothing can tear them apart.

Jennifer Has A Secret

Days of Our Lives’ Jennifer and Eric meet outside the pub. Eric asks if she wants to talk about what’s bothering her. Jennifer becomes lost in thought, Eric wonders if she is ok. Jennifer has a major secret and doesn’t know what to do with it. Eric asks Jennifer what the secret is. Jennifer says the secret is a story for The Spectator. Eric invites her to dinner, they share “ I love you”.

J.J. Is Reinstated

Days of Our Lives’ J.J. (Casey Moss) has dropped his keys, Gabi (Camille Banus) catches up and gives them to him. J.J. tells Gabi about the guy being paid off to plant the drugs. J.J. tells Gabi the worker is supposed to talk to his boss. J.J. offers to talk to Ari (Sydney and Harper Udell) for Gabi. Gabi tells J.J. he’s has enough dealing with Abby (Marci Miller).

J.J. has no idea what Gabi is talking about. J.J. can’t believe Abby is pregnant by Stefan (Tyler Christopher). Gabi tells J.J. that Chad (Billy Flynn) walked out, he needs time. Gabi says she hopes this doesn’t destroy them. J.J. says this is Abby and Chad’s chance to start over. J.J. says this baby is stuck in a tug of war. Gabi tells J.J. the baby almost was Chad’s and how she suggested a lie. J.J. said that would not be fair to Chad or the baby. J.J. gets a call from his boss he has been reinstated. J.J. thanks Gabi for being such a great friend to him and Abby.

Brady And Eve Sign Stefan’s Contract

Days of Our Lives’ Stefan and Kate (Lauren Koslow) meet. Stefan is having Kate followed. Stefan orders Kate to get what he needs or he will expose her. Stefan goes to see Brady and Eve. Stefan is upset because he doesn’t have his paperwork. Eve goes head to head with Stefan. Stefan wants to know if they are moving forward or not. Eve has made some changes to the paperwork.

Stefan says Eve is looking after her own interest. Stefan, Brady and Eve sign the papers on their partnership. Stefan tells Brady he’s about to be a father himself. Stefan tells Brady and Eve that Abby is pregnant with his baby. Stefan wants insights on Titan from Eve and Brady, they agree. Eve tells Brady that Victor was just trying to help him keep Tate. Brady wants to call Jennifer, Eve distracts him.

Abby Tells Jennifer About The Baby

Days of Our Lives’ Abby is picking up after Thomas. Abby calls Chad, she’s worried because he hasn’t been home. Chad tells Abby he’s had a lot on his mind. Abby wants to figure this out together unless he doesn’t want to. Abby wants to know if Chad has decided he can’t accept this child. Abby tells Chad he understands and she loves him. Abby questions if Chad is coming home tonight, he hangs up. Abby breaks Thomas’ toy, Jennifer says they can fix that. Abby tells Jennifer about the baby.

Jennifer questions if Abby is sure about the paternity. Abby tells Jennifer she had a paternity test. Abby is ashamed, and she doesn’t blame Chad for needing time. Abby tells Jennifer this is different, she doesn’t know if she could accept this child if she were Chad. Abby tells her about the abortion clinic. Abby tells Jennifer that Gabi has been there for her. Jennifer thought Gabi and Abby were at odds. Abby tells Jennifer about Gabi’s health issues. Abby says maybe she should have changed the results and let Chad believe the baby was his. Jennifer asks if Stefan wants to be a part of this baby’s life, she tells her yes. Jennifer offers to cancel plans with Eric, Abby says no. Chad comes home to Abby.

Kate Seals The Deal

Kate walks up to Chad and hears part of the conversation. Chad tells Kate about that baby, and that it’s Stefan’s. Chad tells Kate about hitting Stefan and him gloating about the baby. Kate wonders about an abortion. Chad thinks Abby may have feelings for Stefan. Kate wonders if Abby is lying to Chad. Chad suggests Abby is lying to herself. Kate and Chad are drinking together. Chad tells Kate he wants her feedback on his strategy, she doesn’t want to see it. Chad still wants Kate to work with him.

Chad believes he can get Victor to hire Kate. Kate tells Chad no, this is not a smart move, she looks anyway. Kate knows about the shipping company. Kate tells Chad he’s a little more cutthroat than she expected. Kate questions if Chad wants to go that far. Kate takes a flash drive and copies Chad’s info for Stefan. Kate manages to pull the flash drive out before Chad catches her. Chad needs Kate now more than ever. Kate suggests Chad talk to Abby. Kate gives Stefan the flash drive, Gabi sees.

Eric Plans A Romantic Dinner

Days of Our Lives’ Eric tells Roman (Josh Taylor) about talking to Brady and how they buried the hatchet. Eric tells Roman that Eve will do anything for the man she loves. Maybe Eve and Jennifer can bury the hatchet too. Eric wants to have a romantic dinner for Jennifer. Jennifer is determined to tell Eric the truth, even if she loses him. Jennifer joins Eric and she has to tell him something very important.
