Days Of Our Lives RECAP Thursday, May 17: Leo Moves Forward With Plan To Trap Sonny

Today’s Days of Our Lives begins with Hope (Kristian Alfonso) and Rafe (Galin Gering), he is about to sign annulment papers. Kate (Lauren Koslow) and Hope doesn’t believe her story about Vivian (Louise Sorel) pulling a gun.

Hope Stops Rafe From Signing The Annulment Papers

There was no gunshot residue on Vivian’s hands so she couldn’t have been holding the gun when it went off. Vivian wasn’t shot at point blank range. Kate swears that Vivian tried to kill her, Hope and Rafe need to know everything. Kate tells Hope and Rafe everything Vivian has done and tells them if they need anything else, talk to her lawyer. Hope tells Rafe that Kate is lying. Rafe tells Hope before Kate came in he was going to sign the annulment papers. Rafe tells Hope he will sign them and she can move on with her life, he apologizes. Hope stops Rafe from signing, she’s conflicted. Hope tells Rafe about John and Marlena’s upcoming wedding, and they discuss their wedding at the cabin. Hope was hurt and devastated but she loves Rafe. Hope tells Rafe there is a chance for them. Rafe knows there is a lot of stuff to work through but he will be there for Hope. Hope throws away the annulment papers.

Leo Hides Sonny’s phone

Leo (Greg Rikaart) is in Sonny’s (Freddie Smith) office and picks up a phone, Sonny walks in and asks what he is doing. Leo claims he is trying to clean up, Sonny tells him its ok, there is a method to his mess. Sonny notices his phone missing. Sonny goes to get food while Leo stays behind to look for the phone. Leo begins deleting footage on the mini camera. Leo then sends messages to himself from Sonny’s phone. Leo talks to Kate on the phone and tells her what he has accomplished.

Abby Learns About Gabby And Stefan

Abby (Marci Miller) goes to see Gabi (Camile Banus) to apologize. Gabi tells Abby that she could be dead because of her. Gabi doesn’t buy the alter excuse. Abby tries to explain to Gabi how she isn’t to blame for her choices. Gabi tells Abby that she is the one who sent her to prison. Abby doesn’t remember testifying at the trial and is shocked by this. Abby realizes it was Laura (Marci Miller) who testified and Stefan (Tyler Christopher) who planted the evidence. Gabi tells Abby that Gabby slept with Stefan. Gabi tells Abby that Chad (Billy Flynn) walked in on Gabby (Marci Miller) and Stefan. Gabi thought Abby knew about Stefan and Gabby. Gabi tells Abby maybe Chad couldn’t deal with his wife sleeping with his brother. Abby apologizes to Gabi, tomorrow she will plead guilty to killing Andre (Thaao Penghlis). Abby leaves and later shows up to confront Stefan at the mansion.

Stefan Tries To Push Chad Into Committing Murder

Stefan wants to know why Abby didn’t come home with Chad, is she afraid to be around him? Chad threatens to kill Stefan if he comes about Abby again. Stefan tells Chad he isn’t welcome in the mansion and threatens to repossess it. Chad questions why Stefan is still there since he has no one. Stefan says that he only has revenge. Chad is supposed to be his family but supports Kate so he is Stefan’s enemy. Stefan tells Chad that even if he never sees Gabby again, they know she slept with him, Chad punched Stefan. Stefan goads Chad about sleeping with Gabby. Chad reaches his limit and walks down the stairs and puts a letter opener to Stefan’s throat. Stefan pushes Chad to kill him, telling him he has their father in him too. Stefan keeps pushes but Chad stops, he’s not worth it. Chad would rather watch Stefan suffer alone and miserable because he has nothing. Chad comes back downstairs and quits the company and vows to destroy Stefan. Chad leaves and goes to check on Gabi.

The Bartender Doesn’t Help Sonny’s Dilemma

Sonny shows up to pick up food and talks to the bartender, they discuss Leo. Sonny tells the bartender he ended things with Leo because he works for him. Sonny tells the bartender that he isn’t helping by encouraging the relationship with Leo.

Sonny Falls Into Leo’s Trap

Sonny arrives back at the office, Leo informs him no calls came in. Leo grabbed Sonny hand and tells him to stop pushing him away. Leo tells Sonny he can’t take this anymore and he is going to resign immediately, now they can do whatever they want. Leo questions if Sonny doesn’t want this too. Sonny argues that Leo needs the job, they begin to have sex, all which is being recorded.
