Days of Our Lives RECAP October 23: Eric Learns No One Survived; J.J. Searches For Answers

Days of Our Lives (DOOL) recap for Tuesday, October 23, 2018 reveals Kate (Lauren Koslow) pours herself a drink as Gabi (Camila Banus) come beating on her door. Gabi demands to know what happened with Chad.

Kate Tries To Reason With Gabi

Kate tells Gabi the whole story of what she told Chad. Kate asks Gabi how this is going. Gabi tells Kate she is doing Chad (Billy Flynn) a favor. Gabi wishes she could have been there. Kate hates hurting Chad. Gabi says she is going to win. Kate isn’t happy about doing this to Abby. Gabi tells Kate not to go soft on her now because Abby killed her husband.

Gabi says Abby deserves everything she gets. Kate says there is an explanation for what Abby did. Gabi asks how to explain to her daughter that she may never have a brother or sister. Gabi is determined to take Abby’s baby and take her life. Kate knows how happy Gabi and Chad were together. Gabi forces Kate to go to the hospital to see if Abby is there. Gabi admires her bump and then goes to aspirin leaving her purse in the living room. J.J. looks in Gabi’s purse while she’s out of the room.

Chad And Jennifer Doubt Abby

Days of Our Lives’ Chad and J.J. (Casey Moss) tells Jennifer (Melissa Reeves) what happened with Abby and what Kate said happened. Chad says Abby is the only one who believes her alters aren’t back, Abby replies because they aren’t. Abby asks if they sent her upstairs to talk about her behind her back. Abby tries to assure everyone that the alters are not back. Abby tells them she did not assault Gabi or Kate. Abby swears that Gabi is setting her up. Abby tells Chad they talked about this and he said it was possible. Chad says he went to Gabi and she said she wanted to make up with Abby.

Abby tells them Gabi is setting her up and that Kate is lying because she wants Gabi to be with Chad. Chad cannot imagine that Kate would lie to him because she knows how much he loves Abby. Abby doesn’t know how many times she has to say this, but Gabi did this. Abby knows she is not crazy. Abby says she should have gone to the hospital and gotten blood work and they would know she had found drugs. Jennifer and Chad beg Abby to see a therapist make sure she is ok. Abby agrees to ask Marlena if she can see her. J.J. wants to know what if this is Gabi sitting Abby up? Chad thanks Abby for seeing a doctor. Abby and Chad love each other. Kate comes up and asks if Abby has seen a doctor yet. Abby asks Kate why she made up that story about her.

Will Is Forced To Lie To Paul

Days of Our Lives’ Will (Chandler Massey) calls Sonny (Freddie Smith) to check on Ari (Harper and Sydney Udell). Paul (Christopher Sean) overhears Will tells Sonny he wanted to hear his voice. Will gets off the phone with Sonny and tells him Paul is there. Paul has gotten dressed, and in his chair, he wanted to do it alone because he doesn’t want to rely on Will. Paul and Will go out for some sun and food. Will and Paul talk about how they will spend the fall and winter months. Paul says the wheelchair gives him easy access to beer and peanuts. Paul thanks Will for always being there for him.

Paul apologizes for not being supportive. Paul asks if Will has heard from Sami. Will tells Paul he was talking to Sonny earlier. Sonny joins them and lies saying Will was talking to Ari on the phone. Sonny tells Paul he had meant to stop by and see him. Paul says he can see a future because of Will. Sonny tells stories about Susan (Stacy Haiduk) and Victor (John Aniston) and needs to send her to the Martin house. Will takes Paul back to the hospital. Sonny finds Will’s keys after he leaves. Will thanks Sonny for covering for him. Will tells Sonny he had no excuses to give to Paul. Will thought about telling Paul the truth. Sonny and Will miss each other. Sonny didn’t realize until today how much Paul needs Will. They agree this was the right decision even though it’s hard on them both.

Brady Brings Back News Of Nicole

Days of Our Lives’ Both Eric (Greg Vaughan) and Brady (Eric Martsolf) are knocked down by the warehouse explosion. Eric screams for Nicole (Arianne Zucker). Sami (Alison Sweeney) makes it out with the wheelchair right before the warehouse explodes again. Eric tries to run back in, Brady and Sami won’t let him. Brady reminds Eric that he promised to take care of Holly for her. The firemen try to find survivors in the building. Eric comes from checking on Holly Eric says Brady should have called the police. Brady apologizes to Eric, and he tells him to shut up. Eric tells Brady that Nicole’s death will be on his hands. Eric and Brady argue, and Sami sends Brady to talk to the police. Sami tells Eric that Brady is just trying to help. Eric says he just needed more time; he promised he wouldn’t leave Nicole.

Sami tells Eric he would have died in one more minute. Eric tells Sami she wouldn’t have walked out without E.J. (ex-James Scott). Sami doesn’t know if the man she pulled out of the building is E.J. Sami tells Eric she found the man with Rolf. Sami and Eric question why E.J. isn’t as good as Kristen and Will. Eric tells Sami to go to E.J.; he promises he will be ok when he knows Nicole is ok. Sami tells Eric to hold onto faith and go to E.J. Eric prays for Nicole’s survival. Brady walks in as Eric prays for Nicole to come back to him. Brady has news about Nicole. Brady tells Eric they searched the building, but there was nothing left. The fireman tells Eric there were no survivors and gave him Nicole’s medal. Both Eric and Brady cry over Nicole. Sami calls to E.J. and says it’s me.
