Days of Our Lives RECAP Monday, September 17: Ciara Walks In On Claire and Tripp, “Marlena” Awakens

Days of Our Lives’ Monday September 18 recap begins with  Shawn (Brandon Beemer) shows up at the apartment to see Ciara (Victoria Konefal).

Tripp Tells Claire About Ben’s Arrest

Tripp (Lucas Adams) tells Shawn that Ciara went to the police station.  Tripp tells Shawn that Hope (Kristian Alfonso) arrested Ben (Robert Scott Wilson) for the fire.  Tripp says Ben shouldn’t have seen the light of day.   Shawn is afraid Ciara will never see Ben for who he is.  Claire (Olivia Rose Keegan) comes home and tells Tripp they were taking Marlena (Deidre Hall) off life support.

Tripp comforts Claire as she discusses her relationship with Marlena.  Tripp tells Claire she isn’t alone and never will be.  Tripp gets Claire a glass of water.  Tripp tells Claire that Shawn was there.  Tripp tells Claire that Hope arrested Ben.  Claire questions Tripp about Ben’s arrest.  Tripp is upset that Ciara still believes in Ben.  Tripp tells Claire that Ciara is with Ben.  Claire tells Tripp that Ben is important to Ciara.  Claire tells Tripp he deserves so much better.  Claire tells Tripp that Marlena woke up.  Claire hugs Tripp, and they kiss.  Ciara walks in and sees Claire kissing Tripp.

Ben Swears Hope Set Him Up

Days of Our Lives’  Ben wants to know what Ciara is doing there.   Ciara tells Ben she had to see this for herself. Ben tells Ciara he didn’t touch that can.  Ciara tells Ben the lab doesn’t make mistakes like that.  Ben’s fingerprints are on the container.  Ben says someone wants him to look guilty. Ben tells Ciara that someone is framing him.  Ciara realizes Ben is talking about Hope.  Hope and Shawn walk into the room.  Hope tries to make Ciara leave the room.  Ben tells Hope that she set him up.

Ben tells Ciara that Hope is framing him.  Ciara asked why Hope went back to the cabin.  Ben said Hope went to plant evidence.  Hope tells Ciara not to believe Ben.  Ben tells Ciara he wants to talk to her.  Ben tells Ciara how Hope has targeted him.  He tells her that Hope went crazy because Ciara invited him to live with her. Hope disagrees, Ben prayed on Ciara.  Ciara says Ben played Marlena (Deidre Hall) just like he played her. Shawn tells Ciara this is over; the evidence doesn’t lie.  Ciara doesn’t believe Ben and leaves. Ciara tells Hope to look her in the eye and tell her the truth.  Hope swears she didn’t plant the evidence.  Ciara tells Hope she believed in Ben.

Shawn Realizes Ben Is Right

Days of Our Lives’  Hope is on the phone with Rafe (Galin Gering).  Hope is furious that  Rafe left with Sami (Alison Sweeney).  Rafe tells Hope he brought Sami to say goodbye to her mother.  Rafe tells Hope about the DNR.  Hope asks Rafe to let the family know she’s praying for them.  Hope lets them know Sami will be back in custody soon.  Shawn comes to speak to Hope.

Hope swears that Ben will be away from Ciara and Claire for good.  Shawn says he wouldn’t bet on that.  Hope wants to know what Shawn is talking about Ciara being around Ben.  Shawn tells Ben he’s glad that Ciara and Claire are safe.  Ben tells Shawn that Hope would do anything to get rid of him.  Ben knows that Shawn realizes that Hope planted that evidence.  Shawn thinks back to his conversation with Hope.

Hattie Takes Marlena’s Place

Days of Our Lives’ John (Drake Hogestyn) and the family are in Marlena’s room.  Kayla (Mary Beth Evans) wants to know when they are ready to unplug the ventilator.  Eric (Greg Vaughan) says a prayer before Kayla turns off the machine.  Everyone cries and waits for Marlena to die. Belle (Martha Madison) goes to Marlena’s bed.  Belle tells Marlena it’s ok to let go.  Sami says Belle is the reason they pulled the plug in the first place.  Sami goes to her and begs Marlena to come back.

Belle says Sam shot Marlena.  Hattie (Deidre Hall), as Marlena, regains consciousness. Sami begs for Marlena’s forgiveness.  “Marlena,” tells John to get Sami out before she finishes her off.  Belle tells Marlena that she had the ventilator removed.  Hattie tells Belle that she understands.  Hattie understands that Belle tried to pull the plug on her mother. Belle tells Eric what Marlena said to her.  Eric tries to calm Belle down. Belle goes to find Shawn.  Eric thanks God for bringing their mother back. Hattie begins rebelling against John.

Rafe Questions Hope’s Evidence

Days of Our Lives’ Eric has to drag Sami out of the room.  Sami tells Rafe that Marlena believes she tried to kill her.  Sami tells Rafe and Eric she deserves this. Sami asks to go back to her cell. Sami and Rafe go back to the station. Rafe and Sami tell Hope about Marlena.  Sami asks to go to her cell now.  Rafe comes back to talk to Hope.  The news about Marlena is just sinking in. Rafe wonders if Hope forgives him. Rafe asks what’s going on with Ben. Rafe realizes that Hope planted the evidence as well.
