Days of Our Lives RECAP Monday, October 29: Maggie Learns Nicole Is Dead – Sami Ask Kayla To Do A DNA Test

Days of Our Lives (DOOL) recap for Monday, October 29, 2018 reveals Sarah (Lindsey Godfrey) shows up on Maggie’s (Suzanne Rogers) doorstep. Maggie is thrilled to see Sarah but wonders why she never contacted her.

Maggie Approves Of Rex And Sarah’s Engagement

Sarah tells Maggie she loves surprises. Sarah loves the redecorating Maggie has done at the mansion. Sarah is participating in doctors without borders. Maggie tells Sarah how proud Neil would be of her. Maggie asks Sarah what’s next now that she’s back from her trip. Sarah tells Maggie she is engaged to a great man. Sarah tells Maggie she is engaged to Rex (Lyle Lowder) and she wants details on how they met.

Rex helped her on her worst day ever, and they fell in love. Rex stops by to see Sarah; he couldn’t wait any longer. Rex says being back in Salem feels right. Salem is very familiar. Rex tells Sarah he ran into Brady who isn’t doing good at the moment. Maggie comes in and hugs Rex. Maggie tells Rex she approves and she wants to talk wedding planning.

Sami Sits With The Mystery Patient

Days of Our Lives’ Eric (Greg Vaughan) and Sami (Alison Sweeney) are outside the mystery patient’s door waiting for word. Sami wants to know if he’s E.J. (ex James Scott). Eric asks Sami to sit with him until Kayla (Mary Beth Evans) comes out. Sami asks Eric how Holly is. Eric says Holly is in the playroom playing with blocks, but she keeps asking for her mother.

Sami tells Eric he needs to talk to Marlena and she can help him tell Holly the truth. Sami tells Eric they need to find a way to get through this together. Eric shows Sami the medal he gave Nicole. Sami tells him it will help fulfill Nicole’s (Arianne Zucker) final wish for him to take care of Holly. Kayla tells Sami the man is critical but stable. Kayla says it will be a long recovery.

Sami wants to know if she will recognize E.J. without the bandages, she tells her probably not. Sami needs to know if that is E.J. and she suggests drawing blood for DNA. Kayla needs a Dimera family member to compare DNA to so she can tell if this man is E.J. A nurse arrives, there is an emergency, Sami rushes after Kayla. Sami wants to stay with the mystery patient. Kayla allows Sami to stay but warns her not to touch the patient.

Rex Offers Eric His Support

Days of Our Lives’ Eric goes to get Holly from the playroom and plans to take her to see Maggie as well. Eric rings the doorbell and tells Maggie he has news. Maggie asks if he found Nicole and Holly. Eric tells Maggie that Holly is playing with Thomas and the nanny. Maggie wants Eric to tell her Nicole and Holly are moving back to Salem. Eric tells Maggie that Nicole isn’t coming home, he tells her she’s dead. Eric meets Sarah after Maggie tells her and Rex about Nicole.

Sarah asks about Holly; Eric tells Maggie that Holly doesn’t know about Nicole. Rex tells Eric how sorry he is. Eric tells Rex that Nicole asked him to take care of Holly. Eric doesn’t know if he can take care of Holly because of how much she looks like Nicole. Rex tells Eric that Maggie is there for him, and he is too. Eric is glad he has one brother he can count on to help.

Abby Ask Chad And Jennifer To Leave

Days of Our Lives’ Abby (Marci Miller) tells Chad (Billy Flynn) that only her husband can have her committed. Chad says he is her husband, Stefan (Tyler Christopher) tells him no, Abby is his wife, and he refuses to have her committed. Stefan shows Chad the paperwork. Chad tells Abby they love each other this shouldn’t be happening. Abby begs him to believe her over Gabi (Camila Banus), to believe Gabi is setting her up.

Jennifer (Melissa Reeves) wants to talk about it, Abby says they were ready to have her committed, and if it weren’t for Stefan, she would be in a padded cell right now. Chad tells Abby that Stefan wants Gabby, not her. Abby tells Chad and Jennifer that this was her idea, not Stefan’s. Jennifer claims to be trying to protect Abby. Stefan tells Chad and Jennifer that Abby needs her rest and asks them to leave.

Chad tells Abby that Stefan is using her. Abby tells Chad and Jennifer to take his papers and get out of the house. Abby says she can spend time with Thomas (Asher Morrissette) now because she’s not going to be locked away. Stefan has a family, all he ever wanted. Chad tells Stefan and Abby they are making a huge mistake. Jennifer stares at Abby and then walks away. Stefan tells Abby he is sorry if this upset her. Abby tells Stefan she is upset but grateful for his help.

Brady Apologizes To Eve

Days of Our Lives’ Rex and Brady meet up at the Pub. Rex offers to buy Brady a beer, he accepts. Rex asks Brady what is going on with him. Brady tells Rex a woman he knows just died. Brady tells Rex he wasn’t good to her and can’t fix that now. Brady says he shouldn’t be drinking and leaves. Brady goes to Eve’s (Kassie DePaiva) room and asks to come in to talk. Eve says she has no idea what there is to talk about anymore. Eve tells Brady that Stefan suggested he might have left town with Kristen.

Brady tells Eve that is what he did. Brady tells Eve that Nicole is dead. Brady says he left town with Kristen to make things right. Brady tells Eve about Nicole and Eric trying to find the recording. Brady tells Eve that warehouse burned to the ground. Brady tells Eve how Nicole gave Holly to him and how he and Eric try to save Nicole. Eric couldn’t leave his brother to die, so he knocked Eric out. Brady tells her how angry Eric is at him. Brady says he is to blame for what happened to Nicole.

Brady said if he hadn’t blackmailed Nicole she would not have been there. Brady has Nicole’s blood on his hands. Brady didn’t come to Eve for absolution; he needs to tell Eve something. Brady doesn’t blame Eve for not forgiving him. Brady says she was right and he was wrong. Brady moves to leave; Eve stops him. Eve tells Brady blackmailing Nicole was a bad thing, but it doesn’t make him a bad person. Brady says he did the same thing to Eve. Eve hugs Brady as he tells her he’s sorry. Eve tells Brady that she still loves him. Brady kisses Eve, and they begin to make love.
