Days of Our Lives RECAP Monday, July 2: Sonny Kills Leo, Gabi And Abby Steal DNA

“Days Of Our Lives” (DOOL) recap for Monday, July 2, 2018, kicks off with Chad (Billy Flynn) talking to Abby (Marci Miller) about Thomas. Gabi (Camille Banus) is trying to get Stefan’s (Tyler Christopher) DNA sample while Abby gets Chad’s.

Gabi Gets Stefan’s DNA

Abby warns Gabi to be careful and asks if she’s sure about helping. Gabi remembers talking to Abby at the prison. Gabi tells Abby it wasn’t her fault and Stefan is the one to blame for what happened to her. Abby promises to help Gabi when all this is done.

Kate (Lauren Koslow) lies and says she was asking for her job back, Gabi offers to help, she refuses and leaves. Stefan is on the phone, Gabi slips upstairs. Kate is outside demanding Leo (Greg Rikaart) sign the papers and get back to her immediately.

Stefan catches Gabi coming downstairs. Gabi wants Stefan to sign off on the budget, he wants the real reason she’s there. Gabi tells Stefan she is running everything by him now. Gabi is determined to not let Stefan screw her over again. Abby calls and asks Gabi to meet her.

Abby Gets Chad’s DNA

Chad questions what Gabi is helping Abby with. Abby tells Chad that Gabi is helping with her life in general. Gabi is giving Abby a chance to fix things. Chad says he and Abby can almost see the light at the end of the tunnel.

Chad tells Abby his call was about things Sonny (Freddie Smith) had started that he’s trying to keep going. Chad tells Gabi that almost losing her made him fall in love all over again. Chad gets another call and uses the opportunity to take Chad’s fork.

Chad tells Abby that he has to make this lawsuit go away. Chad tells Abby he can get Justin (Wally Kurth) and Victor (John Aniston) to give Leo more money and settle the lawsuit. Abby tells Chad he is going to make Titan a huge success again. Gabi leaves Chad to run errands, Kate joins him. Chad tells Kate he hates lying to Sonny and Abby. Abby would want Chad to tell Sonny the truth.

Kate Refuses To Betray Chad

Days of Our Lives’ Stefan tells Kate she is his secret weapon against Chad. Kate disagrees, Stefan refuses to let her stop with the lawsuit now. Stefan tells Kate that Leo will never accept such a small payout.

Kate tells Stefan that he stole Dimera from Chad and that Vivian stole to do it. Kate says she will never help him hurt Chad. Stefan knows that hurting Chad seems distasteful but if the involvement in the lawsuit comes out, she and Chad will go down.

Stefan tells Kate she is backed into a corner and needs to save herself. Kate is not willing to sacrifice Chad, she will go down knowing she was loyal. Kate moves to leave with Stefan vowing to use her as his backup plan. Gabi and Kate meet each wondering why the other is there.

Paul Tells John About He and Will

Days of Our Lives’ Paul (Christopher Sean) and Will (Chandler Massey) join John (Drake Hogestyn) to get information on Leo. Leo Stark is an alias, he has a record and as a prostitute. John says this is enough to create reasonable doubt. John knows that Leo had an accomplice.

Will volunteers to take the file to Sonny. Will kisses Paul and they said I love you which surprises John. Paul tells John they first declared I love you this morning and about Will’s memory. Paul wants what is best for Will regardless. Paul tells John that he offered to step aside and Will told him no. John tells Paul that he’s proud of him.

Leo Demands Marriage

Days of Our Lives’ Leo tells Sonny he will drop the lawsuit if he marries him today. Sonny tells Leo this is a sick joke. Sonny accuses Leo of being out of his mind. Leo tells Sonny this is the perfect solution, he doesn’t want to get rich off some lawsuit.

Sonny tells Leo he disgusts him. Leo claims to not be a bad guy. Leo tells Sonny he wants them to be partners. Leo professes he and Sonny can have it all. Sonny tells Leo that he hates him. Leo understands how Sonny is upset and he hates what this has done.

Leo brings up Ari (Harper and Sydney Udell) and infuriates Sonny. Leo demands Sonny’s decision. Sonny agrees to marry Leo as Will walks in. Will tells Sonny he can’t be serious and Leo tries to make him leave. Will thinks Sonny has lost his mind.

Will wants to know what is going on, Sonny tries to get Will to stop. Will knows Leo is pressuring him and gives Sonny the file. Sonny tells Leo that he isn’t about to marry him. Leo grabs Will and starts to choke him. Sonny throws Leo off Will and bashes his head off the mantle. Leo is on the floor and unresponsive.
