Days of Our Lives RECAP Monday, July 16: Gabi Tries To Manipulate Abby

Days Of Our Lives (DOOL) Recap For Theresa (Jen Lilley) tells Judge Duncan (Gwen McGee) that there is no proof the drugs belong to her, J.J. (Casey Moss) stands up and says they are his. J.J. tells the judge that he has a history of drug use. Brady (Eric Martsolf) tries to say that J.J. is covering for Theresa, he swears otherwise.

J.J. Claims The Drugs

The judge says she will consider what J.J. has said and adjourns. Theresa wants to know why J.J. put his job on the line for her. J.J. says Theresa deserves to have her son. J.J. tells Theresa that what Brady is pulling is disgusting and it proves Tate needs to be with her. Theresa tells the judge that she will get her own place and not be in the house with J.J. Theresa says she has not touched drugs once since she became a mom, she has learned from her mistakes.

Theresa doesn’t want to miss any more of Tate’s life and swears to be the mother she always wanted to be. Brady tells the judge he didn’t murder Deimos (Vincent Irizarry) and has been sober for four months. Brady tells the judge how he and Eve (Kassie DePaiva) plan to marry. Brady says Theresa left, he has been Tate’s (Colin and Kyle Schroeder) only parent for a year and a half. Brady talks about loving Tate and the things they do together.

Brady asks the judge to not tear him and Tate apart. Judge Duncan says it’s obvious that both parents love Tate dearly. The judge tells Theresa she has made bad choices and continues to do so. The judge brings up Deimos’ death and lack of proof of Brady’s innocence. The judge says after careful consideration custody is given to Theresa but she cannot have any contact with J.J. Both Brady and Theresa are in tears.

Theresa Refuses To Believe Brady

Days of Our Lives Brady tells Justin (Wally Kurth) that he doesn’t think Theresa is lying, the drugs have to be J.J.s. Brady tries to talk to Theresa and swears he didn’t plant those drugs, she doesn’t believe it. Theresa swears never to let Brady see Tate again. Theresa tells Brady she thought he was being honest. Theresa asks Brady if he didn’t do it, who did. Brady wants to know if Theresa believes that the drugs aren’t J.J.s, she tells him yes. Theresa tells Brady she is fighting for full custody of her son.

Steve and Kayla Celebrate

Days Of Our Lives’ Steve (Stephen Nichols) and Kayla (Mary Beth Evans) talk about his eye surgery. Steve is waiting to see if he’s a good candidate for the surgery. Steve tells Kayla it’s because of her and they didn’t have to ask Stefan for anything.

Kayla and Steve talk about hope for his eyesight returning. Kayla pours Steve a drink and he toasts her for being honest with him. Stefan walks up and wants to know what they are celebrating. Steve tells Stefan that he might be getting a chance at that bionic eye after all. Steve starts to go after Stefan, Kayla stops him. The engineer is on his way up to talk to Steve. Steve apologizes to Kayla, she tells him it’s ok.

Chad Wants Kate To Work With Him

Days Of Our Lives’ Chad (Billy Flynn) is knocking on the door of Kate’s (Lauren Koslow) room while Stefan continues to threaten her. Kate tells Chad that Stefan wants her back at Dimera, he doesn’t believe her. Stefan tells Chad that Kate turned him down. Stefan says that Kate’s love for all things Dimera doesn’t extend to him. Chad asks Kate to come work with him at Titan. Chad believes that with Kate by his side he can’t lose to Stefan.

Kate tells Chad to run the idea past Victor (John Aniston) and they will talk. Chad wants to know if Kate is aware that Leo (Greg Rikaart) didn’t show up for court. Kate didn’t mean to drag Chad into this mess with Leo. Stefan calls Kate and demands to hear everything Chad talks over with her. Stefan threatens to go to the paper and tells them Kate and Chad made up this lawsuit to get him in at Titan. Chad tells Stefan he needs to get a life of his own. Abby (Marci Miller) interrupts Chad and Stefan’s conversation and she and Chad leave together.

Abby Considers Abortion

Days Of Our Lives’ Abby reads the test results, Stefan is the father. Gabi (Camille Banus) tells Abby isn’t always so easy to move on and act like the past didn’t happen. Abby says she can’t have Stefan’s baby, she considers an abortion. Abby says she wasn’t in her right mind when that baby was conceived, no one could blame her for aborting it. Gabi lays a guilt trip on Abby about abortion and not being able to have more kids. Gabi tells Abby that she probably can’t have more kids.

Abby hugs Gabi and apologizes says it’s all her fault. Gabi and Abby talk more about the baby and Chad. Abby doesn’t think her marriage can survive telling Chad about the baby. Abby says she hopes the results will magically change. Gabi advises Abby to change the test results, no one will know the baby is Stefan’s. Abby tells Gabi that they can change the DNA test and there would not be a question.

Abby tells Gabi that she cannot lie to Chad for the rest of his life. Gabi tells Abby that she’s put Chad through so much and should change the test for Chad and her child. Gabi tells Abby that she talked to Chad about Ari. Gabi says Ari isn’t handling her being gone well. Gabi keeps pushing Abby to lie to Chad. Abby tells Gabi she knows this isn’t easy. Gabi wants Abby to have everything she deserves. Gabi rethinks her conversation with Kayla and we see where she changed the result of the paternity test.

Justin Tells Eve, She Shouldn’t Have Played Dirty

Days Of Our Lives’ Justin asks Eve if Victor had those drugs planted in J.J.s apartment. Justin tells Eve that she and Victor have ruined everything. Justin tells Eve she had to go dirty and mess up Theresa offering to work with Brady.
