Days Of Our Lives RECAP July 20: Gabi Plans To Destroy Abby And Stefan

Days Of Our Lives (DOOL) recap for Friday, July 20 reveals, Sonny (Freddie Smith) calls Will (Chandler Massey) and says he just got back from court. Sonny tells Will the judge is considering dropping the case since Leo (Greg Rikaart) didn’t show up again.

Will Tells Kate About His Memories

Will mentions the body, Kate (Lauren Koslow) overhears and ask what body. Will tells Kate he is researching a story. Kate tells Will he’s not being honest and wants the truth. Will has a memory of talking to Kate about being his grandmother and how he can come to her. Kate and Will talk about the memory and he still knows that is true. Will tells Kate about remembering loving Sonny and that he loves Paul (Christopher Sean) now. Kate questions if Will is sure about his decision.

Kate asks if the memories are coming back spontaneously, Will tells her he took a second dose of the serum. Kate asks again about the body, Will tells her he cannot comment on that. Will arrives home and finds an envelope has been slipped under his door. Ted (Gilles Marini) tells Kate that he went to see Stefan and told him to back off. Ted tells Kate he had to do something, she kisses him and thanks him. Will’s message says “I know what you and Sonny did”. Kate and Ted hit the sheets again.

Sonny Wants Titan Back

Days Of Our Lives’ Chad (Billy Flynn) shows up to check on Sonny and talk to Ari (Harper and Sydney Udell). Sonny tells Chad that Ari is at camp. Sonny tells Chad Ari is so much like Gabi that he’s not getting through to her. Justin (Wally Kurth) calls back about the case. Justin tells Sonny the judge dropped the case. Chad wants to know why Sonny isn’t more excited. Sonny says he is excited but he and Chad discuss how this doesn’t clear his name.

Chad tells Sonny Titan is in a good spot to take over other companies. Sonny tells Chad that he’s weaponizing Titan to take down Stefan (Tyler Christopher). Chad has a vision for Titan, Sonny doesn’t want him to buy the shipping company. Chad tells Sonny he isn’t in charge anymore. Sonny thinks maybe he should be in charge. Chad tells Sonny he could take over Titan but would still be questioned about Leo. Chad tells Sonny there is only one way to settle this.

Abby Goes To Have An Abortion

Days Of Our Lives’ Chad and Abby (Marci Miller) are talking about their next baby. Chad wants Abby to go back to bed, she has things to do. Chad offers Abby coffee, she turns him down. After arguing with Gabi (Camille Banus), Abby goes to the abortion clinic. The nurse leaves Abby to go get the paperwork. Stefan shows up at the clinic looking for Abby as Gabi vows to take them both down.

Gabi Makes Sure Stefan Knows About The Baby

Days of Our Lives’ Abby tells Gabi they need to talk. Abby tells Gabi she’s not having this baby. Abby says she isn’t going to lie to Chad or force him to live with this, she’s having an abortion today. Gabi tells Abby that she’s being selfish. Abby tells Gabi that she has hurt Chad enough and she’s ending it today. Abby cannot ask Chad to raise the child of a man he hates more than she does.

Abby thanks Gabi for sticking by her but she has to go to the clinic. Gabi refuses to let Abby do this. Abby tells Gabi she has made up her mind and she doesn’t need time to thank about this. Gabi goes to see Stefan, supposedly to get papers signed, she gives him Abby’s test results. Stefan says the woman that he loves is having his baby. Gabi tells Stefan that Abby is having an abortion right now. Stefan threatens to destroy Gabi Chic if she doesn’t tell him where Abby is.

Ted Confronts Stefan Over Kate

Days of Our Lives’ Stefan is reliving his goodbye to Gabby (Marci Miller). Ted shows up and tells Stefan he is there to stop him from blackmailing Kate. Ted threatens to go to the Dimera board. Ted will do whatever it takes to stop Stefan. Stefan tells Ted he and Kate will both end up in prison. Ted tells Stefan that photo of Leo means nothing. Stefan brings up Leo not showing up in court.

Stefan accuses Ted of knowing where Leo is and says people must think he and Kate got rid of him. Stefan tells Ted Kate is more than a client. Stefan tells Ted Kate must be good in bed. Stefan tells Ted that Kate will pay for killing his mother and she will pay by giving him information on Chad. Ted tells Stefan this is not over.

Lani And Eli Have The Baby’s Funeral

Days Of Our Lives’ Abe (James Reynolds) and Eli (Lamon Archey) talk at the hospital, Lani (Sal Stowers) is about to be released. Eli ask Abe is Lani is up to going to the cemetery, Lani asks Valerie (Vanessa Williams) how she buries her son. Valerie hugs Lani and tells her she, Abe and Eli will be right by her side. Abe thanks Eli for making the funeral arrangements. Abe wants to talk to Lani alone. Abe talks to Lani about being a mother, she doesn’t know what to do with that love now.

Abe holds Lani as she cries. Lani is dressed and ready to leave the hospital, Eli, Abe, and Valerie are all with her. After the funeral, they leave roses at Tom (MacDonald Carey) and Alice’s (Francis Reed) memorial in Horton Square. Lani tells Abe she needs some time alone, Eli offers to take her home. Lani and Eli arrive at her place. Eli questions if Lani needs anything, she says he’s done too much already. Eli has bough Lani clam chowder too. Eli finds baby items and is visibly upset. Eli apologizes to Lani, she cries and holds his hand. Lani wants to be there for Eli, they hug.
